Come to a secluded piece of bliss in the Don Joaquin River Lodge, hidden on the banks of the Corriente River in the city of Esquina. Family owned and operated, this lodge greets their guests with the warmest Argentine hospitality. You will experience the thrill of fishing for the prized Golden Dorado on pristine rivers, enjoy delicious meals, and relax in the elegantly decorated lodge and guest rooms.
Your hosts' standards are high and they aim to provide you with a trip of a lifetime. Anglers of all skill levels are welcome! If you're a novice they will teach you how to catch fish, and if you're an experienced angler they will provide you with exciting challenges.
Golden Dorado is your main target and you can mostly catch it by fly fishing. This fish is 'catch and release' only but you can keep other fish species that come your way. You can also catch Surubi (a type of Catfish) and Pacu (a type of Piranha).
The captain will provide you with all necessary fishing equipment and prepare plenty of live bait in advance. The trip usually lasts from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Lunch is provided on a nearby island and includes grilled fish or a BBQ with soup or a stew.
This is an all-inclusive package, which means that you will be provided with linen, towels, toiletries, 3 meals a day, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and fruit. The lodge has 8 rooms which are originally doubles, but an extra bed can be added to each. Each room has got a fully equipped bathroom. There's a common area, with a dining room, a TV and board games, so you can always have fun, even when you're not fishing. All rooms have an A/C and river view.
Transfer from Esquina is also included, contact the charter operator for more details. Transportation from Buenos Aires can be arranged for an additional price.

With my family, we own and run a fishing lodge in Esquina, Corrientes, 600 kilometers from Buenos Aires (Capital City). We have 8 double rooms, with private bathrooms and all of them with a river view. We offer full board for all our guest including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks during the whole day. The captains who will guide your fishing trips are Diego and Ramon. Both are experienced locals, who speak English. They've been with the company for around 5 years, but have been fishing for much longer.
