Join Bill Busters Sportfishing Charters for a memorable time in the Gulf of Mexico! With a long history of fishing these waters, you can be sure that your time will be put to good use. All of our USCG captains are very passionate anglers, and they love making their customers happy; specializing in blue water fishing for all species, depending on trip length, depth of the water, and season. Our First Mates helps anglers of all skill levels get big fish on the boat!
As soon as you step onto the 35’ Bertram offshore sportfishing boat, you’ll notice that it’s very comfortable. It can accommodate up to 6 anglers fishing and there’s a private toilet on board, so you can have a long day on the water without sacrificing comfort.
You’ll head offshore to the deep waters of the gulf and use different techniques depending on the fish you’d like to reel in. You’ll be using a variety of top-notch equipment and, if possible, live bait will be provided before the trip. You’ll need a fishing license, which you can buy at the docks.
There are many species you can target in this area, including Tuna, Wahoo, Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Cobia, and Shark. A cleaning service for your fish is available at the docks, for a fee. Many local restaurants can prepare your catch for a delicious meal.
We support the tradition of giving children the experience of fishing with their parents. Children 5 and older are welcome to board as one of the paying anglers. A cooler with ice is provided for your catch as well as fishing tackle and life jackets. You are welcome to bring food and drinks in your own ice chest as refreshments along with sunscreen and non-skid shoes.
Join in and embark on this offshore adventure full of fishing excitement and beautiful scenery. Bill Busters Sportsfishing has been serving the Port Aransas area since 1982, and continues to stand by their company’s mission statement of 42 years in providing our customers with "Memories to last a Lifetime!"

4.5 hr Trip – Blacktip Special 2025 on May 10, 2025
First (shake down) trip of the year! Crew was excellent, knowledgeable and understanding. We spent some time looking for the proper spot, almost had to go back to shore. The captain wasn't about to let that happen and tried one more spot. Bingo, shark on... and again! This was a blast for both experienced and inexperienced anglers. Highly recommend.

Captain Blake took us 56 miles out to one of the last remaining oil platforms. Took 3hrs to get out there because the seas were a little rough. Got to our destination, Dan got everything set up and in the water as we arrived. Only there for 20-30 minutes and we hooked into 3 Wahoos. My brother really in a 66in 82lbs and I hooked a 63in 77lbs Wahoo. The third fish in question we never saw. Possibly a large Wahoo or very large shark. All we know is the lure was broken in half. We kept one half and the fish kept the other. It was a wonderful trip. Definitely gonna do it again.
