Last Cast Charters
Last Cast Charters will put you front and center against some of the biggest names in inshore sportfishing. Your guide for the day will be either Captain Blake Nelson, a Cobia and Redfish tournament world champion, or Captain Tanner Howell, an experienced local who’s been running the boat together with Capt. Blake for the past four years.
The captain’s vessel is a 24’ Skeeter Bay Boat, powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine so you can reach the fishing grounds in just 10 minutes. She comes with a wireless trolling motor, live bait tank, GPS, and fishfinder. In addition, there’s a tower above the center console so you can sit back and enjoy the beautiful view of the coastline.
Your main target species are Redfish, Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, and many more. Destin’s inshore waters are a breeding ground for many species, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to leave with a nice fish that you can cook up for dinner.
Last Cast Charters is a family-run business, so Capt. Blake invites children of all ages to join in on the fun. He strives to make each trip a memorable and fulfilling experience for everyone and loves having families on board. He’s a patient, knowledgable, and entertaining guide, which is why people love coming back to his boat for more fishing!
Each customer will be provided with state-of-the-art rods and reels by Shimano and Penn. Your fishing license is also covered and Capt. Blake will offer to clean and fillet your catch free of charge. Just come down to the dock 10 minutes before departure to get set up, and feel free to bring some snacks and drinks as well.
Last but not least, don’t forget the sunscreen, and be sure to bring a hat and sunglasses. Get ready for an adventure off the coast of Destin, Florida and let Last Cast Charters show you the time of your life!

Fantastic fishing with Tanner
We spent the morning inshore fishing with tanner as our captain. He was knowledgeable and attentive. After a brief stop to catch bait we headed to a perfect spot to catch Spanish mackerel plus a number of other species. After catching 15-20 fish there we moved across the bay to fish for redfish. We all caught multiple redfish and brought home some 5-6 pounders. As a grand finale Tanner hooked a crevalle jack and let me reel him in. What a blast! We enthusiastically recommend Last Cast and captain Tanner.

Great Day Fishing!
Thank you Captain Mitchell for a great day of fishing. We went on a 3 hour bay fishing trip, caught 2 reds, 1 Spanish mackerel and 1 blue fish, all keepers, made for a tastey meal. Captain Mitchell did excellect work, keeping fresh bait on the line, moving to different locations and cleaning our catch. Highly recommend Last Cast Fishing charter for your next bay fishing trip in Destin.

Highly Recommend!
AM trip was well worth it. Tanner is a skilled and knowledgeable captain who got us in all the right places to land a variety of fish including red drum, mangrove snapper, and spanish mackerel. We caught some live bait to start our trip off, and from there we were pretty much 100% lines in the water for the next 3 hours. Tanner did a great job at filleting the fish up for us when we were done, and we used the fillets to make fish tacos…feeding a group of 10 that night. This was one of the most successful and enjoyable charters I’ve been on.

Great Family Time
My wife and I have four young sons and our oldest has high functioning autism. I know how hard it is fishing with the four of them and keeping bait on the hooks and the lines in the water and things from getting tangled. Captain Jason did an excellent job and his patience and professionalism is much appreciated. We all had a great time.

Great fishing trip
We had a great time fishing this morning. My 2 grandsons are 5 and 9 years old and all papaw wanted was them to catch fish. Captain Mitchell showed them a good time. We probably caught 20 to 25 fish and the boys enjoyed there time. Thanks from Ky friends for a great time Captain Mitchell
