Captain Arturo Calderas has more than 25 years of fishing experience under his belt and will do his best to ensure you have an unforgettable angling adventure in South Padre Island. Whether you’re an expert or someone just starting out in the awesome world of fishing, he’s got your back.
You’ll be fishing from his 25’ Majek bay boat that runs on a 300 HP Suzuki engine. There’s enough room here for up to 6 guests, so bring a few friends along and come aboard. The boat has all the necessary safety gear and navigational electronics to ensure a safe and productive day on the water.
When it comes to the fishing itself, you’re in for a fun time exploring these Texan inshore waters and flats. Your trip starts with a 15–20 minute boat ride to the fishing spots, allowing you to also do a bit of sightseeing of the local islands. When you start fishing you’ll be targeting Trout and Redfish for the most part, but there’s also Sheepshead, Flounder, Black Drum, and others out there.
All the necessary rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the trip price. There’s also some water and soda on the boat, but you’re more than welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks. Other things you should bring include polarized sunglasses and sunscreen for the best possible experience. Come on down and get ready to catch some fish!

You Dint Want To Miss Out
We booked an 8 hour trip with Captin Arturo Calderas with Get'm Hooked Fishing Charters. It was our first time doing a trip like this because we are from Colorado. My son and I are just used to regular fishing at lakes and ponds. So Visiting South Padre Island and getting this trip marked off our bucket list was an awesome experience and Also it was his birthday gift he requested. Our captain took extra care of my son and put on us on some really good hot spots, we cought a total of 20 fish and my son cooight 16 and I cought 4. My son was so excited and that's all that mattered to me thanks to our Captain he was very knowledgeable of the area and made this experience one not to forget, Thank you Get'm hooked/ Arturo Calderas.

The captain and I had communicated about my style of fishing and how I preferred to fish if possible and Arturo came through. We started out chasing birds and casting for speckled trout and i caught them for 2 hours straight! We switched to live bait to go for a big speck and i nailed it! Right under 20inches for my limit of specks. We switched to red fish and Arturo got me onto a big red fish immediately! I enjoyed myself and will be using Arturo again and i suggest you do to! Friendly, professional and most importantly caught fish! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

Great Captain. Highly Recommend.
It was a crazy weather day. Cold and the wind was blowing. Captain Arturo was great. We worked all over looking for Reds and Trout. We managed to get one Red on but could not land it. Captain was fantastic looking for fish. We had a great time and even though we did not catch it was worth the trip. I would absolutely recommend him to others who are in the area. His knowledge was top notch. On days like this we always remember it is fishing and not catching.
