Welcome to Hott Pursuit Charters where fishing isn’t just fun, it’s a passion. Captain Chris has over 30 years of fishing experience in northeast Florida and would like to share that knowledge with his guests. New to fishing? No problem, Captain Chris and crew are more than happy to teach kids and adults alike how to fish. Experienced fisherman? Cool, let’s take that blue water trip you’ve been planning.
Chris’s vessel is a 25’ Grady White center console powered by twin Yamaha F150 outboards. It is equipped with the latest electronics to include 2 GPS units, 2 bottom sounders, radar, VHF radio, and a stereo. Safety equipment includes; Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon, VHF Radio with GPS Distress Locator, lifejackets, and all required U.S. Coast Guard safety equipment.
On the nearshore waters, the catches are seasonal and include Grouper, Red Fish, Red Snapper, Black Sea Bass, as well as both King and Spanish Mackerel. For the experienced anglers going offshore, you’ll be targeting the big hitters such as Tuna, Sailfish, Wahoo, and Mahi Mahi.
He’ll supply all fishing equipment, fishing licenses, safety equipment, lifejackets, bait and tackle. If you wish to use your own fishing gear please let Chris know the details as rod storage is limited. He will also supply plenty of water. If you wish to bring alcohol moderate consumption is okay, but please drink responsibly. He wants to retrieve fish from the water not guests.
You should bring food (lunch) and snacks for the cooler if you want to eat, and drinks if you want something other than water. Waterproof sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat are very important. Please pack up to 1 or 2 duffle bags per group, as storage on the vessel is minimum. Bring a cooler to leave in your vehicle so you can take your catch home, he’ll supply the ice. So, whether you’re after some lighthearted inshore fishing or to catch a prize fish in the deep, Chris is the man with the experience and know-how to take you out.

8 Hour Trip – Offshore
Awesome trip
First off it was a great trip ket me start there !! We had a blast!!! Captain was straight forward with all the expectations and defently surpassed what we all expected !!!. He came in in with a plan and delivered like it was easy !!!. When I say he put us on fish we maxed out on sum fish on the boat for all who where present !!! After that he switched up the experience with a change of pace witch almost was relaxing like an eye before the storm n when I say storm im speaking of fish cuz when them kings hit boy does things get your heart pumping !!!. Captain Chris was super efficient with our time and always had a plan witch made things seemingly feel like nothing we did was a waste of time !!!. I'm defently going to recommend this charter to all to all and everyone!!!.. p.s. I caught the biggest barracuda of my life !!!. Another check of the bucket list!!!!

Fishing with Chris
First trip with Capt. Chris with Hott Pursuit Charters to go after some Redfish, Sea Trout and Flounders. We have never fished for these species of fish so didn’t have much knowledge or experience what to expect. No problem, Capt. Chris explained how the fish would hit the baits, where we could expect to find them and why, and how to get them in. Very successful trip with fish fillets in my freezer. He even gave some cooking tips and recipes while cleaning our fish. Looking forward to go out with him again. Thanks again Capt. Chris of Hott Pursuit.

**Spring Special** 5-Hour Inshore
5 hour inshore charter
We done the 5 hour inshore trip with Captain Chris! It was a last minute trip that we decided to do. Sure glad we did! We caught our limit of slot red fish and a ton of shorts! He was very patient and helpful. He gave us some recipes for our catch! Highly recommend giving him a try. We plan on coming back fishing with him when the king fish start biting!!

Fabulous Family Day on the Water
We caught triggerfish, seabass, and a ton of vermilion snapper. The weather was perfect and Captain Chris was great! Can’t wait to cook up our fresh catch and plan our next trip!
