Beach Bums Fishing Charters – 40' 

Spend the day with Beach Bums Fishing Charters and find out what fishing in the south coast of Zanzibar is all about! With Captain Zandré at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.

Yellowfin Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna, Giant Trevally, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Kingfish, Wahoo, and more are in the cards if you cast your line at the right time of year. For these species, the captain specializes in topwater fishing with poppers and stick baits. You’ll do trolling, popping, and jigging. It all depends on what you want to do. The catch belongs to the boat, and the customer will receive one fish.

Your fishing machine for the day is a 40’ Al Rubban with space for 8 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard!  A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray) and sunglasses. Drinks and snacks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
