Captain Dave is extraordinary. He brings enthusiasm and professionalism to the beginner, an uninterested spouse, a 7 year old and most of all to the seasoned angler. From the moment he suggested we be on the water at 6 am, to knowing the most productive spots, to bringing his home grown live bait so we wasted no time going out of the way and spending time purchasing it, I knew we were in the right hands. Eight 2.5 lb. Peacock and one 2 lb large mouth in 4 hours and many, many more hits including a big one that broke the line, was an extraordinary time on the water, but more importantly Captain Dave was “all-in” with a smile and humor, it isnt just a job for him. He makes sure everyone is taken care of from making sure the live bait you were casting was fresh so no cast was wasted, to the latest technique in undoing a snag when you catch a branch or a piece of shore line shrubbery, to the retrieve techniques, casting techniques to keep your live bait vigorous after several casts, setting the hook, noticing what line tautness is the early warning signal for a strike, how to let the live bait swim and explaining the scenery and the birds , he provided an awesome experience. Go in early am. I’d be on the water at 5:00 am if it was light. We went in late June and it was great. Best is apparently in the cooler months. There was only one other boat fishing around where we were so Dave had this secret place pretty well discovered and to himself. A lot of jumping fish all around. Oh, and the 9 ft. alligator that hung around us for 2 1/2 hours, Dave knew just how to keep him disinterested in a way that kept him out of our fishing target lanes. Also great boat and great motors that were clearly relatively new and well kept up.

We did a 4 hour trip with Captain Dave recently and had a great day on the water. Dave was easy to communicate with, told us exactly where to meet him and when we showed up at 6 am the boat was in the water and he had plenty of live bait on board so we didn’t have to lose time fishing. There were 4 of us on the boat and we caught 33 bass during our trip! Dave is a great guy and definitely knows where to find the fish. I highly recommend booking a trip with Dave if you’re looking for a great fishing experience in the Everglades.

Great time with Capt Dave. Put us on fish of all kinds— Oscars, peacock bass were our targets and we caught a bunch of them. Also hooked some gar, catfish and others.

Dave is easy going and and fun to be around. He also keeps the live bait at the ready and gives tips on technique to insure success.

We also ran a ways and got to try several spots and see more south Florida’s wildlife like gators, osprey and more.

We caught our share of peacock Captain Dave came through and put us on a lot of fish. Highly recommend

Great Skipper, great boat and a great day on the water. Caught 29 good size bass in less than 4 hours; unbelievable! Exciting, fun and very successful.  I cannot say enough positive about Captain Dave. A real pro, safety conscience, exceptionally knowledgeable, a good communicator and a genuinely nice guy. Highly recommended! You can’t go wrong…..
