Seasoned veterans, as well as anglers new to the sport, are all welcome to join Captain Corey Maxwell for a calm and fun-filled day on the area’s waters. With a whole slew of fish species to choose from, all types of anglers will have a chance to experience the excitement of local fishing on a trip you won’t soon forget!
The boat you’ll be fishing from is one of our 24’ Blazer Bay center console, powered by a mighty 300 HP outboard. She’s capable of reaching speeds of up to 55 knots and won’t leave you waiting to reach the desired fishing grounds for long. Equipped with all the necessary safety equipment, GPS, communication, and fish finding electronics, you’ll have access to all the tools necessary for a productive trip.
You’ll be provided with everything you need to fish. All guests will be equipped with top-notch Penn and Shimano rods and reels, artificial lures, and live bait. Depending on the trip bait may be caught ahead of time or at the beginning of the trip. Either way it’s included in the price. Kids are welcome to join in on the trips, there is no minimum age and appropriate life jackets will be available.
The meetup location has access to free parking but there are no stores nearby so be sure to get your drinks and snacks before you show up. On board, you’ll have access to a cooler and ice, so no need to bring one. Your fishing license is also covered by the charter so the only additional thing you should pack is your sunscreen.

We had such a great time fishing with Doubled Up Charters! He made our vacation a memorable experience. He does a great job putting you right on the fish and constantly putting bait on your hook and taking the fish off. We will absolutely book fishing trips with him in the future! Thank you!

Afternoon Half Day with Captain Corey

When we arrived in FL, we were super bummed due to the weather situation thinking we would need to cancel our charter. Captain Corey kept in touch with me with updates and we were able to make it work. Great communication! When we got out to the bay, we were able to catch a variety of fish! We ended up leaving with 22 fish (sheepshead and black snapper). Captain Corey was a blast. It felt like hanging out with a friend! He was patient with us, but stayed on top of it with adding new bait, attaching new hooks, and assisting with reeling it in when needed. This is our second time in Pensacola, first charter… Definitely will not be the last with Doubled Up! 10/10 recommend!!

Brothers Captain Corey spent the majority of his childhood fishing with his father and brother. Corey decided in 2001 to take his passion to profession, and became a Licensed Charter Boat Captain. ‘Doubled Up’ quickly became one of the most highly sought after fishing charters along the Northern Gulf Coast. Soon after establishing himself as a skilled captain and becoming very busy, Corey realized he needed to expand his business, and who else would be a better fit than his little brother, with whom he had enjoyed success on the Redfish tournament trails they had fished together.
