Are you ready for a fantastic day of offshore fishing? Then book a trip with One More Sport Fishing today! Captain Margarito has been the owner and operator of this charter company for the last 20 years. He has a fleet of 4 boats in the area and works with 2 other captains – click on his bio below for more options. Capt. Margarito has been fishing in and around Zihuatanejo for 3 decades and knows all the best spots to take you to.

Hop on board the 35’ flybridge boat, a classic beauty that was restored in 2019. She can have 8 guests on board, with 2 fishing at once. There is safety gear on board so you can fish with peace of mind. There’s adjustable shade coverage and seating available for the ride out. This boat offers a smooth dry ride out.

Depending on which trip you choose, you’ll be able to target a variety of species, including Blue, Black, and Striped Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Yellowfin and Bluefin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and more. The captain also offers a sunset trip with light fishing as well as a deep sea trip for more experienced anglers.

Children are welcome and will love the small game trip. This trip can be made into a combo trip with a stop off at an island. Don’t forget to rent snorkeling or spearfishing gear from the dock, and you’ll have a fun-filled day out the whole family will love.

Included in the price of the trip are top quality rods and reels. These won’t let you down when reeling in a monster Marlin. The captain will also provide a mix of 30 beverages, as well as your fishing license for the day. You’ll just need to bring your own food along with you.

Don’t forget to bring your fly fishing gear – there are some great opportunities for fly fishing here.

Book a trip today with One More Sport Fishing for an unforgettable adventure! Whatever your skill level, there’s a trip out here for you!

7 Hours – Deep Sea Fishing on March 6, 20252 adults
Booked three days with with Capt. Margarito on the One More-35 ft sportfisher. The intent was to chase billfish but Mother Nature had other plans. The annual cold current came in a month early and sent the blue water far offshore. First two days we tried to catch live bait in the morning, but water was green and cold. We trolled rigged baits and lures while chasing dolphin pods and tuna schools, but had no luck other than a couple small Bonita and one big hit ( we suspect was a tuna) that did not hook up. Captain and mates worked very hard, but the fish did not cooperate. The third day, Margarito and I agreed to take his 28 ft panga One More II to find the blue water. We found the blue water at 37 miles offshore, fished all morning out to 50 miles. At 12:00 noon the switch flipped and we started seeing more action. A massive strike and hookup up of a 250 lb blue marlin changed our luck. After releasing the fish, we chased dolphin pods and caught yellowfin tuna in the afternoon. All in all it was great adventure. Fishing was hard due to the cold current, but when you have an experienced captain who is willing to go the extra mile for his clients, what else can you ask for. Fishing with Margarito was like fishing with my best friend. We worked well together and ended up achieving our goal of catching a billfish. Will be back as soon I can get another trip planned.

Great Trip for a Family
7 Hours – Small Game on January 6, 20252 adults3 children
We fished for about 4 hours and hooked into more bonito than we could keep track of. We also stopped for a bit and bottom bounced for a couple other species (grouper and needle fish caught). We saw many dolphins on the way and had very close encounters with whales. For a while it seemed liked everywhere we looked we saw a whale tail or a whale breaching. We even got to see a couple fully jump out of the water. After about 4 hours the captain dropped us off at Playa Las Gatas to have our fish cooked a few different ways and we had a lovely lunch on the beach while our kids swam around. The boat was perfect size with lots of shade for our sleepy kids and a great toilet because toddlers can't hold it! Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxed day of fishing.

The Absolute BEST!
7 Hours – Deep Sea Fishing on December 16, 20194 adults
I love deep sea fishing and have been a few times now. This was my first time deep sea fishing in Ixtapa and I must say that the experience was one of a life time. The price of this trip is perfect. We went for 7 hours and there was 4 of us, the captain and his helper. Very safe and fun experience. We caught 3 sailfish and 1 shark! We were all very impressed and if I ever go back this is the boat I will be booking!!! Only thing I say is if you want drinks while on the boat to get a cooler and some beers as there was only about 6 for 4 of us for 7 hours. Otherwise the experience was fabulous! Highly recommend.
