Captain Cody Cristello invites you on an exciting adventure to find your favorite fish. Born to charter captains in the Keys, he’s fished his whole life, gaining his own license aged just 18. He promises to let you in on all his secrets to land that prized catch.
Step aboard the brand new 26’ Avenger bay boat and hit the waters from the rivers to the reefs. Up to 6 guests are welcome on board, heading from sweet spot to sweet spot in search of some prized fish. Make use of the 360-degree view and the spacious deck as you battle it out with monster fish, while the captain will provide water and chips to keep you energized. All the gear is brand new!
Get ready to put your fishing skills and physical strength to the test, as you go prowl the waters of surrounding Port Charlotte, Boca Grande, or Englewood in search of some tough-fighting and delicious creatures. Snook, Sharks, and Tarpon will provide the toughest battle to come aboard, while Redfish, Trout, and Snappers also promise to put up a fight.
After working up a sweat, you can even go snorkeling to cool off. Get in touch with your captain and he can provide the equipment. If an evening cruise is more your speed, ask Capt. Cody to take you dolphin watching and sightseeing. He can also take you out to Cabbage Key island for shelling and any other activities you enjoy on the shore. Water is served on board, and you are welcome to bring your own alcohol (no glass containers).

4 Hour Trip (AM) on April 26, 2025
Cody was great! He took us to different locations to catch different types of fish. We all caught multiple types of fish. Then we headed out to open water. We ended up hooking an Eagle Ray. We fought it for over 30 minutes. Got it close to the boat and it finally broke the line. Definitely recommend this fishing trip with Cody! We will be fishing with Straw Hats Fishing charters!!

We had such an amazing day with captain Cody he was awesome super knowledgeable of the area and shared so much information with us he kept us moving and worked hard to keep us on the fish she was grate with my to young girls teaching them what to do and not do we worked with each of us to help us improve our skills and techniques we had so much fun learning about all the different species we were catching and how best to fish them we will definitely be back to fish with captain Cody again

6 Hour Trip – Boca Grande Inshore on December 31, 2024
We had an amazing time fishing with Capt Cody today! I purchased a 6 hour excursion for my husband’s Christmas gift and we were so happy to have my Father in Law tag along. We caught tons of fish, had lots of laughs, and genuinely enjoyed our time. Cody was knowledgeable about the area and all things fishing and was a great coach and encourager. We will be using Captain Cody for all of our future charters as well as recommending him to our friends and family.

6 Hour – River Fishing Adventure on May 15, 2025
We had an awesome day with Cody catching fish! He was very knowledgeable, extremely nice and prepared! He had plenty of bait on board for us. He helped us bait our lines, cast, remove the fish and cleaned them in the end. He was a wealth of knowledge and fun. He took pictures of our catches.

Both his parents are captains in the keys and he decided to follow in their footsteps, and make use of his experience and love for the water, by making his passion a profession at the age of 18 in 2011. With a record catch of 185 pound Tarpon out of the Charlotte Harbor, he's just the guy to get you reeling in the big fish or have a great time in general.
