Come to Astoria, Oregon and join Rivertrek NW for a fantastic day of Salmon Fishing near Buoy 10 on the Columbia River! Together with your guide, Capt. Wade Grant, you’ll head out to Buoy 10 and have lots of fun trying to catch some hard-fighting fish as well as enjoy the Pacific. Capt. Wade knows where the bite is and will make your trip as enjoyable as possible, so join him aboard and have an unforgettable day fishing in Astoria!

The vessel you’ll be using is a 23’ Willie Boats aluminum fishing boat. It can seat up to 6 guests, runs on a 250 HP Yamaha VMAX engine, and uses the most modern GPS and autopilot equipment available. Having the newest and best equipment, electronics, and technology available is key for a successful trip. You won’t have to worry about not being prepared. Your guide will provide everything you need to get you started on the right foot.

The Buoy 10 fishery on the Columbia River is abundant in Chinook Salmon as well as Coho Salmon. You and your guide will target them by trolling, spinning, and jigging, using both light and heavy tackle. Your captain is great with kids so this will be a fun trip for the whole family.

Your guide will take care of all the fishing gear you’ll need. This includes all the tackle and live bait and he’ll also provide snacks, drinks, and fish cleaning. Dress for the weather, bring a lunch and a valid fishing license and RiverTrek NW will get you on the fish!

Just inside the mouth of the Columbia River is where you can catch a limit of hard-fighting Salmon fresh from the ocean. The season runs from August 1 through September and holds fantastic opportunities for catching. Come out and play with Rivertrek at buoy 10 in Astoria!

    Once the salmon fishing has slowed down, Dungeness Crab will be plentiful! We typically limit out on just a couple of pots and have a lot of fun doing it. The limit is 12 Dungeness Crab per person.
