This was a no frills charter that went after fish!  No more than 30 minutes from leaving the dock, we had three lines in the water.  Over the next 1.5 hours, we had 5 Dorado (Mahi) on the the lines.  I was the only paying fisherman on the the boat, so I got an incredible workout.  One fish after another.  It was non-stop reeling.  After I boated the largest fish of the day, I had to tap out with “No Mas”.  My arms couldn’t take it any longer.  Hector & Louisa, Capt & Mate, were fantastic, enthusiastic, and extremely helpful.  I would book another trip with this group.

Fishing with Daliken was great, the owner offered to give us a ride for free from our hotel to the pier since he was in the area, we talked about fishing all the way there, we bought some live bait to improve our chances and we were set!

Now on the water we got a pretty slow day of fishing, we tried using live bait, dead bait, trolling and my girlfriend got a needlefish early in the morning, however for the next 3-4 hours nothing was biting, not even for the other boats that were near the area!

HOWEVER during those 3-4 hours the scenery was beautiful, the water was calm and we got to see the ecosystem in action, we saw 3 MARLINS! i dont know if it was the same one again and again but a boat near us hooked one and we saw it jumping around all crazy, it was awesome just to see that action, sadly it broke their line and scaped, but an hour later they hooked another one! wich also scaped, during this time we saw a pair of whales, a mother and a calf, they swam pretty close to us as you can see in the video, all of this made the trip very very memorable!

On the last 2 or so hours of the trip we were heading back when the captain spotted a bunch of mackarel jumping and going crazy, it was a feeding frenzy! we set the lines and casted away, we managed to hook 3 bull jacks/Jurel toro, 1 broke our line and we managed to get 2 in the boat, they fight like real bulls indeed, but i soon learned that their meat is very hard to prepare for eating! that fight was exactly what i needed to end the day on a high note, and the captain allowed me to drive the boat back to the shore! in general our captain wasn’t that talkative but he didnt need to since he got us where the action was at!

It was a slow day of fishing, but one of the most memorable trips i’ve had 5/5!

Daliken sportfishing in san José del Cabo Mexico is top notch!!! Was very simple to set my reservation for a 6 hour trip. The owner was very easy to communicate with and his whole staff is very professional. I highly recommend anyone looking to go out on the waters for a epic day!!! Thanks again I will definitely be back next year.

Very authentic feeling of panga fishing.  Crew was cool and dedicated.  I believe that Daliken could’ve provided a total bill, excluding license fees( which is a norm), to better help those who were unaware of a bait charge at the dock ( its better to get a FULLprice at the beginning than to get that rabbit hat trick feeling). . All in all it was a good experience.
