Awesome trip! Capt. Mike was very honest and told us up front what we could be catching. If you’re looking for a trip to take home fish contact him first. That way you know what you are in store for. Plan your trip around the fishing, don’t just go fishing on your trip and hope for something to take home. There are seasons and different trips for different fish so keep that in mind when booking. Capt. Mike and First Mate Tye were great and did an excellent job of putting us on the fish. Keep in mind the seasons and what you may be catching. These guys don’t control the fish but will put you on them and work to get you on some. Great guys and had a great day of fishing with them. We will return to fish with them. There were great conversations and interactions that will be remembered. They didn’t just feel like fishing guides, they encouraged conversation and joking. We Also got the chance to see a lot of dolphins, wild horses on the island, and sea turtles.

Fantastic day on the water, Michael was a great host and an even better fisherman. Michael put us on some great fish and we landed two great Cobia which weighed in around 60lbs. Awesome day and highly recommended!!

To be entirely fair to Captain Mike and Tye, they tried to convince us to change our trip date due to it being rough out on the ocean, but we were stuck with just this one day to get a trip in so we went. The ride out and back was pretty rough but the Slick Finish(the Boat) handled the rough water as good as any other boats of that size do. Once we got out to the fishing grounds Captain Mike and Tye put us on the fish, we caught a mixed bag of Scamp Groupers, Really great Trigger fish,Bee liners and Pink Snappers, we also caught a number of Jacks we only kept one of them , to experiment with a smoked fish dip. The only bad comment I would make is that some of the rods had reels that were not seated and were a bit wobbly, makes it hard to reel in.. Over all a really great trip, I highly recommend the Big Fin Charters

Awesome experience! Michael made the call to depart later in the day due to heavier winds in the morning and we’re grateful he did. The seas laid down and we were able to hook into some black sea bass closer to the jetties, pushed offshore and caught multiple cobia, kingfish, spade fish, and a 6’ bull shark. As locals, Captain Michael and First Mate Ty were extremely knowledgeable of the waterways, different fishing spots, and kept us busy for the entire charter! Thank you!

5 stars doesn’t do Capt Michael justice! Fishing is fishing not catching but a great captain makes the trip fun even when you’re not catching. However, this captain put us on the fish so hard we never went 2 minutes without a fish in the boat the entire trip!  Snapper,
