Caballo del mar Fishing Services will take you bottom fishing in the Gulf of California and show you a side of Mexico that you've never seen before! Captains Oscar Ibarra and Jose Rodriguez are excited to show you the waters they grew up fishing on and take you on an incredible adventure off the coast of Puerto Peñasco.
You'll spend the day fishing from a 44' Santa Barbara offshore sportfisher. This boat comes with everything you need for a successful day of fishing, including top-quality fishing gear, navigational technology, and safety equipment. She's a comfortable and spacious vessel that accommodates up to 10 guests, including kids of all ages.
Inside, you'll find an air-conditioned cabin with 2 private toilets, a shower, kitchen, and 4 beds. The boat also comes with a multimedia system so you can bump your favorite tunes while you fish. You'll also have snorkeling equipment available in case you get the urge to go for a swim.
You'll explore the local reefs in search of bottom-dwelling species such as Cubera Snapper, Broomtail Grouper, and Triggerfish. You'll also target California Corbina, an extremely elusive fish that gives even the most seasoned anglers a run for their money. After your trip, the crew will offer to clean and fillet your catch so you have something to take home for dinner.
You'll be fishing with top-quality Penn rods and reels so you don't have to worry about bringing your own equipment. Your fishing license is included as well, so no need to make any extra stops before your trip. Just come straight to the pick-up location and the rest will be taken care of.

They’re anxious to get back out and do some more fishing, we could not have asked for more! Captain Jose and his deck mate were excellent, we will definitely be back to fish with these guys again!

Some of his hot spots were so good we had nearly all the lines going with fish ON!!. We took home more beautifully cleaned fish More then we ever planned too. My daughter in law enjoyed running her blue tooth music thru his boat stereo ,and were serenated with wonderful music. Lots bottled ice cold water was furnished. There was plenty of seating we especially liked the seating on top with such good visibility. A big thank you for making of wonderful family memories today with Capt Jose.....

Half Day Trip on May 26, 2025 • 6 adultsOur captain Oscar was great brought us about 12+ miles out and fished a few spots. Our group caught a good amount of fish, red snapper, trigger fish, sea trout, rock bass and a shark. Boat was roomy and has a inside galley area, table and bathroom (head), with an outside upper deck. The first mate was great keeping our poles baited and fileted all of our fish. Great trip and great crew, I will use Pepes fishing again in the future.

The crew was professional and help us and cleaned up some throw up. They were great and helped everyone out as much as they can! My party decided to end the trip 30 mins early due to how everyone was feeling but we still caught about 25 fish. Enough to fill a house of 8 guys for dinner anf breakfast! I would recommend this to anyone that is interested in fishing!
