Join Special-Eyes Charters on an exciting adventure in Port Clinton! The captain has been fishing Lake Erie his entire life and knows all the best spots to get you hooked up. He caters his trips to all types of anglers, from novice to pro, and all ages are welcome as well.
You’ll be fishing from a 30’ Cherokee hardtop sportfisher, powered by twin 300 HP Crusader engines. The boat is equipped with a GPS, fishfinder, VHF radio, radar, as well as top-quality tackle, outriggers, downriggers, a fridge, a toilet, and a cooler for drinks. She accommodates up to 6 guests and everyone can fish comfortably at the same time.
You’ll be fishing the Walleye Capital of the World, so naturally, your main target is Walleye. Lake Erie is filled with many other exciting species as well, including Freshwater Drum, Yellow Perch, and Largemouth Bass. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to reel in an A-lister and the captain will provide as much assistance as you need.
The captain starts casting jigs as soon as late March and early April and continues this type of “rod-in-hand” fishing all year long. You can switch up the technique and change from jigs to casting harnesses as the waters start to warm up.
You’ll also be able to troll, especially if the lake is calm. The captain and his crew will make every effort to take care of your wishes and customize your trip based on your preferences.
You’ll be provided with nothing but the finest gear, as well as live bait and high-performance lures. All you need to do is pick up a fishing license before your trip, pack extra layers of clothing, and bring your own snacks and drinks.
Your next Great Lakes adventure awaits. So pack your bags, start planning your trip, and join Special Eyes in Port Clinton for an exciting journey on Lake Erie!
