With over 15 years of experience, Captain Alexander Monteagudo is all about making sure you have a great time on the water. Our offers are flexible and you can customize your cruise so it best fits you and your needs. Fishing until the sun goes down or soaking up the sunshine on the beach, we’re determined to enhance your experience and make it all about you.
Their 25’ Sea Hunt bay boat is powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine. It’s also equipped with a GPS and VHF Radio, as well as a wireless trolling motor. Capt. Alex will make sure live bait and lures are provided. There’s a cooler and water available, and enough room for 6 anglers - perfect for bringing friends or family along. Children of all ages are welcome, just make sure you bring life vests!
You can expect to catch a variety of species in the rich waters of Florida Keys. If you prefer inshore fishing, where you’d target Grouper or delicious species like Snapper or Tripletail, they got you covered. If you’re more into the game, there’s a bunch of popular sport fish options: Spotted Seatrout, Snook, or Spanish Mackerel. The crew offers it all – light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, and spinning – it’s up to you. They also offer night fishing for species like the “Silver King” Tarpon or Snapper.

Hold Tight Charters’ goal is to make this trip all about you. Depending on your preferences, cruises are flexible to adjustments but the crew is also happy to suggest what they think would fit best. All you should do is bring some snacks and good company and the day is yours!

Went the extra mile
Captain Alex went above and beyond to ensure we had a great trip. He literally lost his sunglasses helping my son land a Goliath grouper wrapped in the mangroves. Great experience led by a knowledgable guide. Would recommend for beginners and experts alike, as Alex will put you on monster fish and have patience with kids/newbies.

Outstanding Fishing Charter
My 15 year old son and I went on our first inshore saltwater fishing experience with Hold Tight Charters while on our Keys summer vacation. Captain Alex was very patient and courteous. He went above and beyond to make the experience fun and memorable. We will definitely book again with HTC!

Great Charter On the bite Hang Tight top notch
Alex is a great captain. Professional; responsive & flexible. Primarily inside fishing; we confirmed & spoke night before I’d mentioned if we could get on some Dolphin ( mahi not flipper) that would be great. Met at dock 6:45 am Alex said - conditions are great we going to get dolphin. We were one fish shy of maxing out our limit for Dolphin/ Mahi. HIGHLY recommend Hang Tight Charter & captain Alex. Great day and put us on the bite right away.

1st and great Experience with Capt Alex
Never did inshore fishing but gave it a whirl with Hold Tight and Captain Alex and caught my 1st Snook, Barracuda and a bunch of Snapper. He absolutely knew where to go and was very patient with me as I casted into the mangroves and was supportive when I had a good cast. Very very knowledgeable about the area, fishing techniques and I just had a great time on his charter. Highly recommend and will be booking my next trip with him.

Best experience
Captain Steve is by far the best! He is a local who has been fishing here his whole life so he knows the spots. The second my son put the line in the water he caught a fish. It was my son(11) and myself out on the water. He spent the whole charter baiting our line, giving instruction, and removing our line from the mangroves. He taught my son ALOT in our four hours with him. We caught Jack, Blue racer, lizard fish, needle fish, barracuda, snapper, snook, and tarpon was on our line but we missed out by fault of our own. Captain Steve instructed us on how to hook and reel but we both got too excited and they hopped off the line. Book Captain Steve!
