Poseidon Fishing Charters knows what Florida fishing is all about! Whether you’re looking for inshore and offshore adventures, or you’re just hoping to fill up the cooler with tasty fish, the captain has got you covered.
Hop aboard his 26’ Crevalle bay boat, ideal for navigating the diverse waters in Tampa. She’s perfect for anglers who all want to fish at the same time and is decked out with features to keep you comfortable all day. That includes a small toilet inside the console, ample seating and cushions, and lots of shade to keep you out of the Florida sun.
If it’s inshore fish you’re after you’ll head out in search of Redfish, Snook, Sheepshead, Snapper, and Tripletail. If deeper waters are calling to you, Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Cobia, Amberjack, and Grouper are yours for the taking. Hoping to hook only Shark or Tarpon? Opt for one of his target-specific trips!
All of your gear, bait, and licenses are provided. There are also soft drinks and some light snacks on board on all trips, and on full day trips, you’ll even be treated to lunch. The captain is happy to clean and fillet your catch at the end of the day and share his secret recipes for you to try out when you get home!

Half Day Trip – Inshore (1 MAX)
Captain John with Poseidon Charters is Awesome!!
Captain John was a trooper! Mother Nature decided to pour down Rain. Captian John decided to break thru the storm like a Blaze of Glory and head back to the Lodge to wait out the storm. We not only made it back safely, but were able to be comfortable as the storm moved thru! Fishing was fun. We hooked up with some Big Ones, and brought fish home for the table! Awesome Trip with an Awesome Captain! I would highly recommend Poseidon Charters for your next fishing trip! Request Captian John <{{{>< Captain John also took extra time with the young ones.

Half Day Trip – Sharks
Awesome half day trip with Captain Tom!
Booked a charter with Captain Tom at Posiden charters. Everything was even better than I expected. He was very personable and knowledgeable. Not only about fishing but he was full of little facts about the surrounding scenery. We booked the shark fishing trip and after catching a bull shark.Things slowed down.I had a group of teens and kids so he recommended another spot where we could catch something else. I'm so glad he did! We caught other fish and the kids had a blast. I would recommend Posiden fishing to anyone looking to fish rather experienced or not.

Half Day Trip – Sharks
Fun even with weather!
This was all our first time on a fishing charter and we went for the shark trip. Captain Tom was very knowledgeable and had an answer for every question. He kindly baited our hooks every time and kept us running from the lightning. Despite the cold rain we caught a good handful of trout and had 2 keepers. A few grouper also found us. Sadly no sharks but we'd try again given the chance!

8’ Lemon shark!!
