Immerse yourself in the wilderness of Everglades National Park. Captain Paul is a 3rd generation Miami native. He has been fishing these waters since 1997 and professionally guiding since 2018. Guiding out of Flamingo; he understands the backwaters of the Everglades like only a few do.
Your vessel for the day is a 17’ Seastrike, perfect for two anglers but capable of accommodating a third for an extra fee. Depending on wind and tides, Captain Paul brings along his 17’ canoe in the boat. The canoe accommodates 2 anglers plus the captain and allows for stealthy hunting of snook, redfish, and tarpon in shallow water.
Inshore fishing in the Everglades is an unforgettable experience. Hunting snook and redfish through the labyrinths of dark mangrove shorelines, or seeing a tarpon breach on a still foggy morning can invoke a sense of true adventure and enchantment. Rods, licenses, and tackle are all provided. All you have to do is make it to the town of Flamingo (45 min drive from Homestead, 90 mins from Key Largo).
Captain Paul is a catch-and-release guide. He believes in conservation and responsible stewardship of the park’s resources. He’s a member of Captains For Clean Water, and Bonefish Tarpon Trust. He encourages all his clients to get involved in protecting this world class fishery.
The captain works hard to make sure you have a good time and if you enjoy the trip, a 20% tip is customary. Also customary is the Florida Keys tradition of providing lunch for your guide. Other items you’ll need are some polarized glasses, bugspray, and sunscreen to stave off the Florida sun.
In addition, Captain Paul offers overnight camping/fishing experiences. He cooks all your meals, campsite set-up, and guides you to fish during the day. Talk to Paul about this immersive experience.
Whether you’re spending a day in the Everglades or camping overnight, Captain Paul wants to make your fishing trip a memorable one! Book today and prepare for an unforgettable experience
