Make A Wake – Matlacha
Spending a day with Make A Wake is a perfect way to learn new fishing tricks and have fun on the water. Captain Cody Snead has been fishing in the area since he was a kid and knows all the secrets of these waters. Thanks to his experience and friendly approach, lots of people learned how to fish and caught their first fish on his boat. He encourages family-friendly trips and introduces the amazing world of fishing to the little ones.
You’ll be fishing on a 23’ Panga boat that accommodates up to 3 guests. This simple boat has everything you need for a successful day of fishing – navigational technology, safety equipment, a live bait tank, and a wireless trolling motor.
With a variety of inshore and nearshore species you can find here, it’s hard to list everything that can bite your bait. You’re most likely to target Redfish, Snook, Tarpon, Snapper, but also Spotted Seatrout, different types of Grouper, Pompano, and Cobia. You get to keep the catch and Capt. Cody will clean it for you free of charge.
Your rods and reels are included in the price. If you want to target fish on the fly, make sure to request fly fishing equipment in advance. There’s fresh water on the boat but feel free to bring beverages of your choice and some snacks. Kids need to be at least years old and life vests for them are provided.
Let Capt. Cody and Make A Wake show you how amazing inshore fishing can be. You only need to choose the trip that sounds best for you!
