It’s about spending time with your loved ones, learning a new skill, and having a first-hand insight into the world beneath the surface.
Capt. Russ loves showing people the basics of fishing and discovering the amazing seaworld to them. The fish that you target are not the only interesting inhabitants of the area. You can enjoy the scenery, see new types of birds and fish, or have fun on a local sandbar.
The trip takes place on “the Captain O”, a 24’ Sea Hunt boat. This center console has a perfect draw and size, just what it takes for stability on the open waters. She’s powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine and has modern navigational equipment. The boat also features a private toilet and a T-top, to keep you in shade.
The list of fish you can catch is a long one. Some of them are Mahi Mahi, Tarpon, Snapper, Mackerel, Tuna, Barracuda, and Grouper. The crew is practicing sustainable fishing as much as they can, so they tend to release the catch. If you love the taste of fish, you can keep your catch in a quantity that’s enough for a meal.
Your fishing equipment, license, and fresh water are covered but you can always bring your own beverages and drinks.
Rusty’s Bucket Charters wants every guest to enjoy the trip to the fullest. The captain will show you how to set your bait, cast, and battle with fish. You just need to confirm the date.

A day with Rusty and his bucket
We had a wonderful day of fishing with Captain Rusty. He worked very hard to get us where the fish were. Once we got to the fish, he did everything short of jumping in the water to get them on our lines. Rusty had a variety of baits and lures and he worked very hard to keep as many rigs going as possible. This is a great charter for anyone who wants to catch fish. Additionally, Rusty has a small private camp toilet in the small enclosed storage area of his boat. This was extremely nice, and we had never seen anything like his set up before. So, if you have younger children or just need a potty break yourself this is a super nice amenity. Captain Rusty was extremely friendly, professional and courteous. He tailored our outing to what our goals were.

We took a 5 hr fishing/beach excursion with Capt. Russ. He was an absolute pleasure. A true professional. He customized our trip to make sure everyone got to do what they wanted. Great trip. Fish on the line almost as fast as we could toss bait in the water once we found the right spot. Russ works extremely hard to get fish on as often as possible the entire day. Wouldn’t book anyone else.
