+29After years of operating charter boats for other people and after lots of work and persistence, Captain “Ricochet Jay” Andrews succeeded in buying his own boat. Now, he runs year-round fishing trips the way he always wanted – suitable for anglers of all skill levels and family-friendly. He’s happy to accommodate more adult friendly trips where both smoking and drinking are okay, and the music is much louder!
Your trip starts on a 31’ Grady White boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. This center console is geared up with the latest navigational electronics. Powered by twin 300 Yamaha engines, she’ll take you to where the fish are fast, so you’ll have more time fishing. To make this experience comfortable during a long trip, there’s also a private toilet.
Throughout the year, you can take a trolling trip and target Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, Cobia, Jack Crevalle, and many more. However, the peak of the season is in June, July, August, and September when Red Snapper is in season. Your fishing equipment, including rods, reels, lures, and bait is fully covered by the captain. Feel free to bring a small cooler for your snacks and drinks. If you enjoy your fishing experience, a 18-22% gratuity of the total trip cost is customary, appreciated, and expected, because the mate/deckhand works for tips only.

4 Hour - Red Snapper Trip (AM) on July 8, 2025
We all had a great time. It was a family trip, my 2 daughters, 2 sons, & 11 yr old grandson.First time out for them. We all began catching fish as soon as we got to our locations & dropped lines! Captain Jay & crew were very respectful, knowledgeable , & helpful on the trip. They were very safety minded & explained where how to board, where to sit, etc before we took off & rules etc as different conditions occured. Again we all had a great experience! Thanks again, both Captain J & Crew!

6 Hour- Red Snapper Trip (AM) on July 31, 2024
We took a 6hr morning trip with Capt James and Jamo and had a blast!! Myself, my brother in law his 2 girls and my oldest son. We had a great experience from cast netting fresh bait to making a 20 mile run out to the snapper. They got us on fish right away and the bite was really good! They treated us great and made sure all the kids were taken care of. We caught our limit of 10 really nice fish and boated probably 20 more! Kept the kids and Jamo really busy!! They are truly great guys that treat everyone with the upmost respect! Highly recommend!!!

We caught our limit on snapper! My son caught an amberjack and brother caught a 6’ bull shark. Had a great time! Will be back and I highly recommend this trip to others! Captain James and his deck hand David did a great job!

4 Hour - Red Snapper Trip (AM) on July 21, 2025
We took two adults and four kids from 11-14 out to catch some snapper. We were put on the fish immediately and caught our limit! The captain and first mate were great working with the young kids. Would highly recommend.

Great Family Trip!
3 HOUR RED SNAPPER TRIP on July 29, 2024
This was one of the best charters we’ve had in a long time. Each summer we look for a trip where the kids have fun and we catch enough to cook a meal. The 3 hr trip was short enough for the kids to enjoy but long enough to catch our limit of red snapper. The captain put us right on the fish and the deckhand kept bait in the water. This was my youngest son’s first “big” fishing trip and he had a blast. He’s still talking about all the fish he caught. Thanks for great memories!
