Whether you’re an experienced angler looking for a challenge or someone who just wants to go shelling and take in the sights, Captain Rob will be able to provide an experience best suited for your individual needs.
Let Captain Rob guide you from his 24’ custom-built Bay Boat, perfect for cruising the nearshore and Back Bay waters with larger groups or families with kids that want a higher sided boat. For those who want the challenge of sight casting in the flats, Captain Rob also has a 16’ polling skiff available that is made to carry one or two anglers.
These water provide endless miles of pristine beaches and mangrove island waterways for you to enjoy. The fish are plentiful and include species such as Tarpon, Trout, Snook, Redfish, and more besides.
If you’re here to just relax, Captain Rob has you covered as well. Have lunch at one of the by-boat-only restaurants like world famous Cabbage Key, all while you collect shells and gaze at the countless number of birds and wildlife like sea turtles, dolphins, and manatees that frequent these waters.
All trips start and end at Port Sanibel Marina where you have access to bathrooms, showers, coffee and free parking with security unless another pick-up location is arranged. Captain Rob will clean and package your catch in ice after the trip. All tackle, licensing, bait, lures, water, and ice are included in your trip.

21st Birthday Fishing Trip
Half Day Trip - AM on February 25, 2025
To celebrate my son’s 21st Birthday my wife arranged a private fishing excursion with Tarpon Magic Charters and Captain Reed. The Captain was very knowledgeable when it came to where the best fishing spots were in the area and gave us many pointers on how to perfect our fishing techniques. If the fish were not biting in a certain area or an unexpected dolphin or two show up and scare the fish away the Captain will find you another area where you are sure to catch a fish or two. Captain Reed will contact you the day before your excursion to answer any questions you might have and he supplies the bait and equipment. I highly recommend calling Tarpon Magic Charters and speak with Captain Reed to book your next fishing trip. You will not be disappointed.

Captain Rob is in his element. He takes you to the best fishing grounds and the best places to watch dolphins. He shows a lot of patience to teach fishing even absolute beginners. Captain Robert Reed made our trip an absolute blast. He was very knowledgeable and had everything all baited and ready to go the entire time. We caught tons of trout and even some puffer fish! We couldn't thank him enough for our trip and definitely would love to come back to fish with him again.

We had a great time with Capt Rob who kept us well entertained and always kept our lines in the water. We caught trout, lady fingers, pufferfish, hammer head, and a few others i forgot. I would definitely recommend him and we all had a great time! Cant wait to come back!

Captain Rob did a great job finding the fish, good rig setup on the gear and great coaching for some of our less experienced guests. We caught a good bunch of speckled trout and had a really fun time.
