My Lake Ida fishing charters allow you to explore Lake Ida the right way, 1st class style. Based in Fort Lauderdale, my charter offers a year-round adventure with top of the line boat and equipment. The area has a lot of less than desirable boats and equipment, be careful of what you choose. If you like to get what you pay for and then some with no surprises, you will like my charters. Born and raised in the area and has over 20 years of fishing experience. He welcomes experienced and novice anglers, so you don't need any preparation for this trip. Just bring a bit of a positive attitude and we will take care of everything else.
You'll be fishing on a comfortable 22' Sterling boat that accommodates up to 4 guests. This bay boat is powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine that offers a safe and fast ride. Wheelchair-bound anglers are also welcome to join. The boat features navigational electronics, such as a fish finder, GPS, and a VHF radio. There's a cooler for your drinks and snacks, but if you're planning to take the fish home, feel free to bring your cooler.
The fish you can target is just what Capt. Brett specializes in – Largemouth Bass, Peacock Bass, Clown Knifefish, and Snakehead, using live bait and/or artificial baits. He'll show you the best ways to catch fish with light tackle and fly fishing. The trips usually start early in the morning, but this is flexible to meet your schedule.
Your captain covers your fishing equipment and bottled water. Bring your fishing license and pack some snacks for the day.

My seven-year-old son and I, visiting from Austria, spent a week in Florida and decided to book a four-hour afternoon fishing trip with Captain Ricky from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our vacation. Captain Ricky took us to several different fishing spots, and we caught three different species of fish – each one a completely new experience for us and species we had never caught before. For my son, this was a truly unforgettable adventure, and I enjoyed every minute of it as well. The exciting boat rides, the great conversations, Captain Ricky’s helpful tips and knowledge, and of course our fishing success made this trip incredibly special. We will both remember this experience for a very long time and can highly recommend Captain Ricky to anyone looking for a fun and memorable fishing trip in Florida.

We had a fantastic time with Captain Dawson. He put us on five different species, including clown knife, largemouth, mayan cichlid, and snakehead. The fish were all good size and four of us caught something. I missed a PB largemouth, but that just gives me more reason to go back :-) Dawson had a beautiful boat, top quality gear, and a friendly and knowledgeable personality. Could not have asked for more - we will definitely go again next year.
