Reel Talk Charters – Matagorda 

Welcome to Reel Talk Charters! Join Captain Joshua who’s been fishing these waters since he was a kid. You can start your adventure with him in Matagorda or Galveston, year round. Explore the majority of the Texas Gulf Coast Region and catch some tasty fish on the way. Both experienced and novice anglers are welcome to join. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to use the rod - you’ll learn it here, all while having lots of fun and enjoying nature.

You’ll be fishing on a 22’ Nauticstar that accommodates up to 4 guests. She’s powered by a 150 HP Yamaha engine that easily reaches high speeds. You’ll be on your fishing spot quickly and you’ll have more time to catch fish. The boat also features navigational electronics, a live bait tank, and safety equipment.

Staying in the flats and inshore spots will take you after Flounder, Redfish, Black Drum, Spotted Seatrout, and Sheepshead. But if you go to deeper waters, you’ll have a chance to catch Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Jack Crevalle, and many more.

Lots of fish species bring lots of different techniques to the table and you can never know how the trip is going to unfold. With this many opportunities, each day brings something new.

You can count on Captain Joshua to bring all of the equipment you’ll need and he’ll also clean your catch. Don’t forget to purchase your fishing license and pack some food and drinks.
