Salty Tide Charters is a business dedicated to providing great hospitality, excellent service, and sharing their passion for fishing with others. Captain TJ Deveaux will take good care of you and he’ll help you make some life-long memories on the water.
The boat you’ll be fishing from is “Just Right” - a 26’ center console Mako from 2008. This battlewagon designed for hardcore offshore fishing can accommodate groups of 6 anglers per trip. It is fitted with a twin Suzuki V6 3.6 that can reach top speeds of up to 46 knots Just Right offers various fishing amenities for your optimal fishing experience, like outriggers, downriggers, and fishfinding equipment.
This charter specializes in nearshore and offshore areas which include wreck and reef locations. If you want to stock up your fridge with delicious fish you can target a few different species from Grouper to Mahi Mahi, and Blackfin Tuna. More adventurous anglers can test their skills against Wahoo and Blue Marlin. You can go after these beauties using light and heavy tackle.
Families with children are welcome. The charter covers your South Carolina fishing license, and also all the fishing gear, lures, and baits will are provided. In case you need additional help a first mate is available and they would appreciate a tip. It’s up to you whether you keep your catch or release it, and the crew will help you clean it. A small fee might be in order.

12 hour charter with Capt. T.J.
12 Hour Trip on April 11, 2022
Started the day at 4 am and took a 2 hour ride to the gulf. Trolled for a few hours, but the fish just were just not biting there, so we packed up and pushed to a new location and attempted again with no luck. After Listening to the radio all day it was clear that all boats were striking out, so Capt TJ tried to salvage the trip with some bottom fishing which proved more fruitful. We wound up catching more fish then most despite the situation. Capt did his very best to be produce results, and if it wasn't for his experience and knowledge we would have been skunked. Capt. TJ and his first mate were exsteamly nice and helpful, and the boat and equipment are top notch. Even though it wasnt the trip or type of fishing I was hoping for it still proved to be a great experience, good day, and we didn't go home empty handed! I think it was just early in the season. That's why it's called fishing, and not catching! Thank you Capt. T.J., and I would, and will be booking with Capt T.J. again. We are already talking and planning our next trip.

We had a great time. I recommend this trip for anyone looking to catch some big fish. TJ knows where to find. He’s very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We caught grouper from the time we dropped the first hook on the water till it was time to go. We caught the limit on Grouper and then catch and release from then on. One of the best trips I have been on. Take this trip and you will catch fish.
