Since the beginning, the original guide service has operated fishing trips on Headwaters Lake, also known as Fellsmere Reservoir. Don’t take the chance; we offer the best trips because of our experience and knowledge of the fishery.
There’s enough room on the boats for up to 4 anglers to go fishing. The boats you’ll be fishing from are 20’. It has everything you’ll need for catching fish at the lake or shallow waters.
We specialize in bass fishing with artificial lures but are happy to use live bait if you prefer. The headwaters of Fellsmere are in the 4 to 8-foot range and are one of the best places with 10 to 20 feet of water. Let the captain know which techniques you’d like to master, and he’ll adjust everything.
It’s one of the top 5 trophy Bass locations worldwide, making it worth a trip. Since you are the focus for the day, all trips are private. There’s no one else on the boat, and you can choose between a morning or an afternoon adventure.
This is a premier guide service, and the captain provides quality equipment and bottled water. We welcome vets, handicapped anglers, ladies, couples, and especially kids.

Incredible Fishing Trip with Bill Goudy Jr.!
I had an amazing time fishing with Bill Goudy Jr. at Headwaters Lake & Fellsmere Reservoir! From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Bill is a true professional—knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about fishing. He knew exactly where to find the fish, and his tips and guidance made a huge difference. The boat was comfortable and well-equipped, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. I caught some incredible bass and had a blast the entire time. Perfect Day On The Lake
Upon arrival, our captain was waiting for us, as he had the boat prepared and ready for us to step on. He was well prepared with fishing equipment and live bait. After a 15 minute boat ride, we anchored in the water, and on the first cast, a fish was caught. After spending four hours fishing, we caught 47 widemouth bass. I highly recommend Captain Cody. It was very obvious. Cody knew the water and knew what he was doing. He was very professional kind and courteous. Thank you, Cody for a wonderful Fishing experience.

Great Trip. Windy and cold
We had an awesome trip with Capt. Mike. We caught fish starting with the very first cast. Captain Mike found a spot that kept us out of the cold wind and produced close to 40 fish in 4 hours including a spawned out 8 lb 4 oz giant for my son's new PB not to mention the multiple 3 to 6 LB footballs we caught. It was a trip we started with low expectations and produced one of the most memorable fishing experiences we've had. We could see the other fisherman moving and looking for fish the whole morning and we only move 10 yards in the 4 hour trip. The equipment and bait was top notch as well as the service.

My son and I have attempted to fish Headwaters about 4 times while visiting family in the area. While the lake is beautiful we leave frustrated not catching much of anything. This time we decided to book and guide to see what we were missing. Captain Bill Goudy did a great job showing us around and putting us on the fish. We caught a ton of good fish in shiners and spent the rest of the day in artificial. We found that we didn’t see 3/4 of the lake when we came before. Overall great experience!!

Dream come true!
I’ve always dreamt of fishing the world renowned lakes of florida and captain bill turned dreams into reality. We had a field day catching quality florida bass on both artificial and live bait, and thanks to captain bills expertise and knowledge of the water we were fishing, I always felt like we were on fish, all the time, and thanks to captain bills knowledge of the landscape underwater, he painted a clear picture of the best places to throw, and where those big bass might be hiding.
