If you’re in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Gunny B Outdoors.
These waters are known for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Flounder, Black Drum, Striped Bass, Tarpon, and more. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Catch cleaning is available for an extra fee.
You’ll be dropping lines from a 24’ Blue Wave bay boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
A few items to bring include snacks, sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. Just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

After booking, Captain Brad contacted us and asked a few questions about what we wanted out of the fishing trip, species of fish we wanted to target, etc. The day before the trip Captain Brad called us with detailed instructions on where and when to meet him. On the day of the trip Captain Brad was there before us, kindly waiting. He knew where all the good fishing spots were. He was a wealth of knowledge- educating us on the water's ecosystem and what we were seeing. We had a blast! Definitely recommend.
