We went out for 4 hours this morning. Captain Mike communicates really well. He reached out before the trip, the night before and again the morning of before we headed out since the conditions were windy. I felt very confident in our trip before we even met him. The boat was really nice and Captain Mike was really positive and friendly and encouraging to my son and his friend. He worked really hard to put us on some fish despite it being windy. We all caught fish and just really enjoyed our day out there. Definitely going to book again. Captain Mike is a true professional and made this experience a memorable one.

We booked this trip for my son’s 13th birthday as fishing is one of his passion. From the moment we booked it, Captain Mike was great in communicating with us on how everything will be running, where we could leave our car, where to meet, and more importantly what we will be fishing for!
The day of our trip, Captain Mike picked us up at the dock and off we went. He is super friendly, great personality and so easy to talk to that time flew by.
If we lucked out on a gorgeous day, we were coming after some days of iffy weather, and our “hunt” was not one with the best fishing conditions. But Captain Mike worked relentlessly to get us where the fish were and we caught a fair amount of Togs and Flounders. Since we did not get to catch a keeper though by the end of the 4h-trip, he offered to continue to work the Bay and in the end gave us a whole extra hour to get that one big flounder to bring home for dinner that night!
All I can say is that we had a great time, the trip was awesome and Captain Mike is a fantastic guy who made my son’s 13th birthday one of his most memorable to date! Thank you Water Wolves and looking forward to our next hunt soon.

Capt mike was amazing. Instead of us getting bit by green heads all day, we went off shore hunting for fish. Mike consistently made sure our hooks were baited, rigs setup, and on top of the fish. You can’t always make them bite, and Capt Mike kept positioning us on top of the fish, even at the cost of a couple rigs. We finally found the fish and caught lots of flounder, sea bass, a porgy, and some trigger! We also even spotted a Cobia! Too bad it wasn’t biting. Either way Capt Mike made sure we had the best fishing trip ever! Memories for life!

Spent the morning with Capt. Mike.  Went with my 12 year old son and we had a blast!  Mike took us right to the fish immediately. Caught at like a dozen tautog in the first 30 minutes.  Couple big ones too. I feel like the only time we weren’t catching anything was when we were driving to the next spot. If you are browsing reviews looking for the right charter…just stop reading here and don’t hesitate to contact Capt. Mike and book a trip.  We’d do it again in a heartbeat.

We had one of the best fishing experiences with captain Mike. He took us through ship wrecks, explaining how to fish the area. We had a really good day, catching 50 or so fish. We caught a variety, which Mike would take off the hooks if it was in a tough spot and throw us on a new bait. Captain Mike was an extremely helpful and knowledgeable fisherman, leading us to a great day. I would recommend his charter as my first pick to anyone wanting to fish the area.
