Off Course Charters
Off Course Charters offers fun and relaxing inshore fishing adventures in the calm waters of the Florida Bay and the Everglades National Park. We target species like Snook, Speckled Trout, Mangrove Snapper, Redfish, Jack Crevalle, Triple Tail and Tarpon. Captain Henry can accommodate everyone from the pro angler to the novice who just wants a fun and relaxing time on the water. You can keep your catch however we do not keep any Snook for conservation reasons.
You will be on a 22 foot Wellcraft Bay boat with a 200hp Yamaha engine. The boat is equipped with a GPS, VHF radio, trolling motor, power pole, comfortable seating and all the necessary safety equipment required by the Coast Guard. All the tackle and fishing gear is included as well as your fishing licenses.
The boat can easily accommodate up to 4 passengers. Backcountry fishing requires a lot of casting, all while standing and balancing yourself on the deck. Having a fairly good balance is important if you want to cast of the deck. For serious anglers who really want to get into skinnier waters I recommend only 1-2 anglers on the boat. That being said, we do welcome families with kids and will do everything possible to make sure everyone has a blast! For safety reasons we do have a weight restriction of max 250 lbs per person and 800 lbs total per group.
Since most of the fishing will be done in the Everglades National Park you will be required to buy a National Park Pass or Everglades Park Pass. They cost $35/group and can be bought online. Active military and veterans can get free passes but they must be bought ahead of time.
We want to make sure everyone stays safe and have a pleasant time while on the boat. Therefore, we have a zero alcohol/drug policy on the boat. Also, no smoking or tobacco products allowed.

Afternoon Fishing Trip - 4Hr
An amazing trip with Capt. Henry
We were a group of 4 looking to experience a morning in the Everglades, and that's absolutely what Capt. Henry delivered! He was attentive, knowledgable, and made sure the boat was clean and stocked with everything we needed for a successful day on the water. The gear was new, the live bait well was stocked, and the cooler was filled with ice and waters. Even though the fishing was slower (a full moon and king tide to blame), everyone in our group got at least one fish on the line. Even had we not caught anything, getting to enjoy the amazing landscape that makes up the Everglades aboard Capt. Henry's boat still would have made this a 5 star trip. We would absolutely recommend this trip and Capt. Henry for a unique experience and excellent fishing in Everglades. Thank you captain!

Afternoon Fishing Trip - 4Hr
Flats Fishing from Key Largo
Captain Henry was waiting for us on the dock on time. He had called us the night before with an option to reschedule for another day as the catch had been slow. Unfortunately we could not shift our time but was a nice offer to ensure we had a good trip. We got on our way quickly and did a quick stop to gather some live bait. It was a beautiful morning and we hit several spots and as soon as the bite was slow we moved on. It was great to see some of the Everglades area and we had a crocodile encounter that was thrilling but Captain Henry kept us safe while enjoying the wildlife. He was quick to get the fish off our lines and bait us up to keep the action going. The bite was a little slow at times as expected but had some real hot spots too. We got all of our time in and a little more and it was a great morning on the water. The keepers were few so that was the only disappointment. Not for the lack of trying. Captain dressed our trout catch at the dock and it was delicious at dinner later. It was fun trip for us four that made some lasting memories. Recommended.

Afternoon Fishing Trip - 4Hr
Made my first saltwater trip
I took this trip to get my first salt water experience while vacationing in the Florida Keys. I booked a reef fishing trip. Caption Henry reached out days before the trip and warned me the ocean conditions were poor and suggested a different date and a change to the backcountry trip. The result was catching a ton of jacks and snapper and almost landing a 15 lb Jack to score a sweet photo opportunity. I totally recommend this charter for their professionalism, experience, and communication approaching the trip.

Everglades fishing trip
Capt Henry was there waiting on us just like he said he would. He had already gotten bait. We caught fish really good early but did the bite died off but it also got extremely hot fast. He was very safety conscious and didn’t want any of us to do any work. He was a pretty good dude and I would fish with him again.

Great private fishing trip in Key Largo
Capt. Henry has a very nice, professional operation, but one that delivers a more personal fishing experience. His equipment is good. He knows the area very well. He communicates well. We told him what we wanted from the trip and he made it happen. In the end, we caught three types of fish. We kept a couple fish to eat for lunch. Everything else was for the sport, and the fish were released in perfect shape back into the waters. Would go again if we come back to the area.
