Captain Mike Smith Fishing Adventures
If you are looking for a relaxing day of fishing, lovely scenery, and lots of fun - then hop aboard 'The Green Eyed Lady' with Captain Mike Smith Fishing Adventures. Fishing has been a part of Capt. Mike's life for as long as he can remember. It started as a hobby, then a summer job during school days, and a retirement job. Over the years a lot of things have changed, but his passion for fishing never did.
Explore the waters of Niantic Bay and Long Island Sound on a 23' Parker boat that accommodates up to 3 guests. This new center console was built in 2019 and features the latest navigational electronics. She also comes with a 200 HP Yamaha engine and a live bait tank. With the safe and steady ride she provides, you'll be on your fishing spot in no time.
There's lots of different species you can catch here, but you're most likely to catch Striped Bass, Bluefish, Blackfish, Porgy, Fluke, Bonito, and False Albacore. Your targets depend on the fishing techniques you use and vice versa, so you can try out trolling, bottom fishing, jigging, and drift fishing.
Captain Mike loves to teach the kids how to fish and he has a special program just for them. Get in touch to discuss the details and let the captain prepare the right equipment.
Rods, reels, terminal tackle, and bait are all included in the price. The captain also covers your fishing license, supplies bottled water, and cleans your catch after the trip. You only need to pack some snacks and snap awesome photos.
Captain Mike Smith Fishing Adventures loves to spread the knowledge and love for fishing. Hop aboard!

I’ve been on quite a few charter trips over the years, and Captain Mike is right up there with the best. He worked hard from the minute we got on the boat and kept putting us on fish all day. What meant the most to me, though, was how much effort he put into helping my son. My son had one goal going into the trip—he wanted to catch a striper—and Captain Mike made sure he had every opportunity to do it. When he finally landed one, seeing how excited he was made the whole trip worth it. Captain Mike knows his stuff, works hard, and genuinely wants everyone on his boat to have a great day. We had an awesome time, caught plenty of fish, and made some great memories. We’ll definitely be back.
We had an amazing fishing trip with Captain Mike and took lots of pictures to remember this adventure! My grandson requested to catch striped bass and Captain Mike didnt disappoint him. Communication was top notch and we had all the information we needed leading up to the day of the trip including parking, boat slip and contact number. As we write this review, we are dining on the yummy striped bass we got to take home. We would highly recommend taking this 3 hr. tour with Captain Mike!
Had a great morning out on the water with Captain Mike! A very fun experience to share with my boyfriend. Captain Mike made sure we were fully equipped for a successful fishing trip and he tirelessly jumped between us both to ensure we had bait/ catching fish and travelling to the spots biting! Also a great camera man! Weather and tides were a bit rocky and this day we really only caught some porgi, but still, the experience was 10/10. Thanks Captain Mike!
I booked this trip for a fathers day present for my fiance and his boys. Capt. Mike did not dissapoint. He was attentive and hands on with the boys; they loved him! Great day out on the water! Capt. Mike was great wirh communication from booking all the way through the wnd of the trip! Great guy! Highly recommend Capt. Mike! Would definitely book with him again!

Captain Mike put us on the fish. The start time was supposed to be 9am, but Mike called us the day before to set up a different time so that we would hit the bite with the tides. That was a great call!
Captain Mike grew up on the North Shore of Long Island where he learned to fish, clam, and oyster as a youngster. During the summer of his High School and College years, he would work on the oyster and clam boats in Oyster Bay Harbor. After college Mike started what would be a 40-year career at United Parcel Service as a Manager. After Mike retired in 2019, his kids said to him ' Dad, you're going to need a bigger boat '.... and so it didn't take long for Captain Mike to start his second career as a Fishing Charter Captain. Hop Aboard the 'Green Eye'd Lady' and let's catch some fish!
