Book your next trip with MisStress Sportfishing Charters and come explore the waters of St. Augustine, Florida! Captain Guy Spear can take you fishing anywhere from the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) to the ocean waters 35 miles offshore. With a lifetime of worldly experience to offer, he will send your family home with a great catch and fond memories.
The MisStress is a 27’ Customized Aquasport powered by a single Honda 250 HP 4 stroke engine. This vessel comes equipped with Garmin electronics, outriggers, and a live bait well. On board you will find top of the line fishing gear, featuring the craftsmanship of Penn, Daiwa, Shakespeare, and more.
While fishing with Capt. Guy you will have your choice of inshore fishing along the ICW or an offshore excursion into the Atlantic.
You can fish the ICW using 10 lb spinning tackle and live bait for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Black Drum, and Pompano. You can also enjoy catch-and-release fishing for Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, and Bluefish. Fly fishermen are welcome but you must bring own gear.
While fishing offshore you can troll for feisty pelagic species or bottom fish near the reefs for some of the tastiest fish in these waters. Trolling is outstanding in summer, with a chance to catch Barracuda, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Sharks, King Mackerel, Little Tunny, and more.
You can enjoy excellent bottom fishing year round for a variety of Snapper, Grouper, and Seabass. Bottom fishing is usually best in colder months, but still available upon request in summer. Some species (such as Red Snapper) may be closed to harvest at certain times.
MisStress Sportfishing Charters include a license and all the gear you need. You are welcome to bring food and drinks (beer is allowed, but no glass bottles). Don’t forget a hat, sunscreen, and your phone or camera for action pictures.
Children are always welcome. Bring them aboard for a family outing and teach them to fish while they’re young!

Amazing trip
Captain Guy and first mate Liam was nothing short of incredible. They moved the trip time back to accomdate weather, got us through rough water in the beginning, and after all of that…we caught plenty of fish, even some keepers! The crew is amazing and the trip was a success. I won’t book with anyone else other than Captain Guy.

Fantastic Trip!
Purchased this charter as a gift to my husband for his birthday! Captain Guy jumped on a call with him the week before to talk about the fishing and if we should go off shore or fish the ICW. He was so helpful and his first mate Audrey was fantastic with my kids!! Both captain and first mate were really knowledgeable and helped my husband catch the first sail fish of the season! Couldn’t say enough good things about our trip! Highly recommend!!

Guy and Audrey are AMAZING
We had THE BEST time. The boat goes like with not feeling a wave at all. Guy and 1st Mate Audrey, were EXTREMELY knowledgeable and were right there baiting and helping with whatever you needed. It was great, and a special bonus; seeing the 9 manatees, a sea turtles, and the dolphins. If it’s possible with my health, I would no doubt book them again. Thank you guys, blessings to you and hugs from the WI Crew

Great crew
Great crew, comfortable boat, lots of fun inshore fishing. Wasn’t a crazy day with numbers of fish but we did a few species and it wasn’t from lack of knowledge by the crew. They knew their business and were enjoyable to be around. Would recommend!

Loved it and will book again!
Guy and Audrey were wonderful! We had booked offshore but the conditions didn’t cooperate so we headed to the river. It was the perfect experience for our first charter. We caught a fair amount and learned along the way. Both Guy and Audrey were fantastic with the kids and so patient with us. It’s evident they love what they do and we’re hope to see them again.

Captain Guy and first mate Liam was nothing short of incredible. Guy and Audrey were wonderful! We had booked offshore but the conditions didn’t cooperate so we headed to the river. It was the perfect experience for our first charter.
