Captain Eric is a licensed and certified US Coast Guard Master Captain. A true Florida native, he grew up freshwater fishing with his father and grandfather. Much of Eric's childhood consisted of dropping his backpack off in the garage after school, and hitting neighborhood lakes till dark. This is where Eric developed his passion for fishing and true appreciation for nature.
However, when his father introduced him to saltwater fishing as a young teenager, everything changed. Saltwater fishing still provided the serenity and tranquility he craved, with the added benefit of a wider variety of fish, and much bigger fish! Eric has spent most of his adult life fishing all waters around the state of Florida, honing his skills for each specific species.

Good trip on a challenging day. Captain Eric was great. Equipment all well maintained and we felt comfortable the whole trip. Weather had been a challenge and we did not see anyone getting bites. Captain Eric kept working different spots and his knowledge of the area is obviously top notch. Some days the fishing gods are just not with you. Will definitely book with Captain Eric again.

Look.. the other charter captains were literally calling him because we were catching so many Redfish. Threw 5 back because they were to big, 1 keeper red and a big black drum. Get some.

Captain Eric is fantastic. He is very accommodating and taught us a lot. He was able to get us on the fish quickly. We caught fish the entire trip and brought home enough to feed us for several days. Would recommend Drop’em Down Fishing Charters for anyone.
