+33Captain Eric is a licensed and certified US Coast Guard Master Captain. A true Florida native, he grew up freshwater fishing with his father and grandfather. Much of Eric’s childhood consisted of dropping his backpack off in the garage after school, and hitting neighborhood lakes till dark. This is where Eric developed his passion for fishing and true appreciation for nature.
However, when his father introduced him to saltwater fishing as a young teenager, everything changed. Saltwater fishing still provided the serenity and tranquility he craved, with the added benefit of a wider variety of fish, and much bigger fish! Eric has spent most of his adult life fishing all waters around the state of Florida, honing his skills for each specific species.

Full Day Trip – Nearshore/Offshore on February 26, 2024
It was one of those perfectly flat offshore days we call "Lake Atlantic", and we caught an awesome variety of fish with 22 keepers 😋 It was a wonderful way to take advantage of a perfect day!! I hope we get another chance to go again soon! We recommend Captain Eric to everyone we know.

Full Day In Shore Trip
Full Day Trip – Inshore on November 24, 2021
This is my 2nd year fishing with Captain Eric. This year's trip was even better than last year. He put us on some big Bull Reds - 34" and 36" in the boat and lost another one after a good fight. He also put us on a variety of fish that we were able to take home and eat - They were delicious!! When we got into the fish at the end of the trip, instead of him telling us that our time is up, he asked if we wanted to keep fishing. With a resounding Yes, we kept fishing until all the bait was gone and we put 2 additional fish in the boat that we could take home to eat. Thank you to Captain Eric for working tirelessly to get us on the fish and keep us on the fish. I am already looking forward to our fishing adventure next year!! Howard Nicholson

Half Day Trip – Nearshore/Offshore on May 12, 2021
We had a great time with Eric and a beautiful day. He took us out to a few reefs a bit of shore where there were quite a few different species of fish. Eric was very helpful in teaching my wife on her first time fishing. We realized we aren't the greatest at fishing and a lot of the fish stole our bait. Sometimes Eric hooked a fish or two and let us reel it in. We caught a few red snappers but unfortunately had to throw them back. We did have some keepers at the end and Eric expertly fileted them so we could cook them up later that night. Ultimately, Eric maintained a high level of professionalism and proficiency throughout our charter and we would recommend Drop Em Down Fishing Charters to anyone looking for a fishing experience.
