Backwoods Bay Fishing Charter 

Captain James Hanson and Backwoods Bay Fishing Charter invite you to St. Bernard, Louisiana so you can together fish and enjoy your time exploring southern waters. They’ll take you to exiting inshore trips and make sure you return home proud of your catch.

Your boat will be a 26’ Charles Leonard bay boat powered by a 250 HP Suzuki four stroke engine. It’s got all the necessary navigation and fish finding electronic systems, and it features a wireless trolling motor as well as livewell. The boat’s deck provides enough space for up to 4 anglers.

To catch fish you’ll be bottom fishing, spinning, jigging, and popping. The species you’ll target include Black Drum, Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Sheepshead. You can make your trip a wonderful family outing by bringing your kids as well. All the fish you catch stays with you so you can have lovely meals at home. Of course, you can always choose to release it back to the water.

All the rods, reels, terminal tackle, live bait, and lures are prepared and will await you on the boat. Captain James will gladly clean and fillet your catch when the trip’s over, free of charge. You just bring fishing licenses and pack some food and drinks, and you’re set to go.
