I wanted to surprise my grandparents with a fishing charter for their anniversary and I couldn’t have picked a better crew to do that with. Captain Lomax and his First Mate Nick were absolutely phenomenal. Nick made sure my grandma had plenty of chances to catch her own fish and even held the rod for her to be able to reel them in. The Captain and Nick really work well as a team together and are very knowledgeable about everything you’ll be doing. The boat was awesome and we caught more fish than I expected to, including a Bonita! Everyone had such a great time and now we want to make that an annual trip for us! Don’t book anywhere else, this is definitely the best crew in our area.

Our group left promptly at 7 am on an overcast morning and were fishing by 7:45 am. It was the first experience fishing on a charter boat in the ocean for the 5 adults and 10-year-old but Randall and his first mate had us fishing like pros by the end of the morning. We mainly fished close to the Carolina Beach Inlet trolling for Spanish mackerel. Each person caught multiple fish with 48 Spanish Mackerel going in the cooler and later fileted by the Fish Whistle crew. Due to low water levels in the Carolina Beach Inlet, we returned via the Wrightsville Beach Inlet. This delayed our return slightly but was an enjoyable sightseeing adventure. Randall and his crew were very personable and worked hard to give us a safe and enjoyable experience.  I highly recommend Fish Whistle Chartering and hope to join them for a Gulf Stream Charter this fall.

We had an awesome half day out trolling on a beautiful Sunday morning. Captain Randall and his first mate Nick. We left on time a 7am. Shortly after getting out of the inlet and setting the lines we were catching fish. One thing I noticed was that about 3 or 4 other charter boats were following us when we were circling the fish. When we’d change spots and start catching again there they were again. We caught 14 Spanish Mackerel, some good eats. The boat was a great size for going out your first time, it had all the essentials and was big enough where we didn’t get tossed around too bad.

Looking forward to eventually doing a full day out or going out for Mahi season in the future, it was a ton of fun.

I recommend Fish Whistle Chartering for anyone that wants to go deep-sea fishing!! Everyone on bored had a great time today! Captain Randy and first mate Nick made this trip a blast! They knew exactly where to go to put us on the fish. Going out after a storm made the water choppy however, they made sure everyone was safe and still had a great time! This trip was for my boyfriends 40th birthday and we absolutely can’t wait to go again!!! Thank you for showing a first timer like me what deep sea fishing is all about! Can’t wait to go again!!!
