Trabolta is here to show you the stunning waters of Puerto Vallarta. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Pedro can tell you all about the local fishery.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Mahi Mahi, Black Marlin, Jack Crevalle, Amberjack, Blue Marlin, Bonito, Roosterfish, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, and whatever else takes the bait. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Pedro believes in teaching kids to fish while they’re young, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks!
You’ll be fishing aboard a 29’ Super Panga that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Bottled water is included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board, and the crew prepares ceviche from the catch.
Now, come aboard with Trabolta and get hooked!
