Whistler Year-Round Fishing
Come to Whistler and experience the incredible fishing opportunities that only British Columbia can offer! Whistler Year-round Fishing is here to show you how just a few hours on these waters can boost your wellbeing. It's the perfect mix of fun and relaxation. Even if you're new to fishing, you'll get to enjoy the stunning surroundings and the unique atmosphere usually reserved for lifelong anglers.
The crew will arrange pickup from your accommodation and take you straight to the fishing spot. All fishing equipment is provided, including clothing such as waders and boots, so you'll stay dry and comfortable—even if you step into the river up to your waist. Since these trips are done from shore, you won't be using a boat and will always be on solid ground.
Depending on the season, you'll have the chance to target Bull Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and Coho Salmon. The captain carefully selects locations that are both close by and rich with fish, so you'll spend less time driving and more time fishing.
Techniques include fly fishing, spinning, jigging, and light tackle. All gear is included in the price, so there's no need to rent anything. Just bring along a valid fishing license, plus any snacks and drinks you'd like.
You'll be guided by Captain Matt, who has been fishing since childhood. He especially enjoys hosting beginners, teaching them the best ways to get started. Whistler Year-round Fishing is a BC adventure you won't want to miss!

Stunning morning catching rainbow trout from Green lake in Whistler. Matt knows the water well and is an excellent guide. Great mornings fishing.
wow, what an experience- not only did we learn how to properly fly fish but we caught some SOLID trout in the process! Had a great time doing it too! 10/10, highly recommend.

So stoked you had an awesome experience, caught some great trout, and enjoyed learning to fly fish. That's what it's all about! We'd love to have you back out on the lake anytime
Our guide was great had us on fish right away with one of us catching a 3 lb Bull trout 🎣🎣🎣
Had such a fantastic trip, the location was unbelievable and i didnt want to leave!

Thank you for the review. Glad you enjoyed the trip and the location. We'd be happy to have you back again!

Thanks so much for the 5 star review!
Matt grew up in Mississauga, Ontario where his fishing addiction manifested while chucking top water poppers, frogs and mice into the thickest slop God could slap together. Throwing your bait into lily pads, bulrushes and submerged trees may intimidate most anglers but Matt grew up with the notion that you should get the fish on first then worry about it.
