Last-minute booking worked out great. We got really lucky with the crew. The owner Gary called to discuss the details of the trip and find out exactly what we wanted to target. My interest was to focus on rooster fish in Playa Herradura Gabriels and Douglas were excellent and within an hour we hooked up to a rooster fish. Unfortunately, after a nice fight, the line broke at the boat, and we never landed the fish. Luckily, we hooked up again and I landed a really nice Jack. We were more than satisfied with the morning of fishing. Gary checked in to see how the morning went. His attentiveness went a long way. We will definitely be back and recommend to friends.

We had a beautiful day.  Gaby (the driver) was kind, professional and courteous.  Douglas (The person who looked after the fishing equipment)  was kind, generous and an excellent fishing guide.  He was always active to make sure the lures were in good condition.  The boat was clean and we lacked nothing.  We were delighted to catch 5 Blackfin Tuna and to have the opportunity to see dolphins play around our boat.  The 4 of us are very satisfied with our excursion with Gitana and will recommend this charter to our friends.

My husband and I had a great half day trip! After booking online, I was contacted by the owner of the company, Gary, to ask what our goals were. He explained that the captain, Gabriel would be reaching out before the trip which he did. We arrived at Playa Herradura a little early and took the water taxi to the boat. We started trolling almost immediately with live bait within the cove of the marina. I was a bit confused at first, but the crew was very focused on getting the boat ready. Once all the lines were out we moved to just outside the marina to troll and after a while got a double hook up! Once we brought them in, the crew made sure we were able to get a picture and released them back. They told us that the roosters we brought in were the biggest they’ve seen. We hooked up one more time before the end of our trip with another large rooster. In between hook ups, we were offered fruit, chips, and water. My husband was thrilled to check this fish off of his list. Great fishing day with Gitana

We all want to find the guy with local fishing knowledge but often don’t feel comfortable booking trips off the “resort”. This trip was with an expert captain born and raised in the area. Communication was simple and clear and all services exceeded expectations. I’ve been fishing plenty in the U.S. and can’t stand when a crew or captain is simply going through the motions. These guys truly wanted us to catch fish and busted butt to make it happen.

Great time fishing going out of Herradura bay. We got about seven red snappers on the hook and pulled in 4. We also caught a good looking African (something) fish.

Communication before and after with Doug was great and he answered all of my questions.

The guys on the boat worked hard to do everything to make sure we caught fish and had a good time. The cold sodas that were provided were a bonus!

Boat and gear was sufficient, and we felt safe going out, fishing and coming back.

One of the team members on the boat did a great job at filleting one of the fish and providing it to us so we could take it to Cocos on the beach. The fish and food was delicious and one fish was enough to feed four of us!!
