Let Grand Holiday Tours create an unforgettable atmosphere of coastal fishing in the water of the Atlantic Ocean near island Madeira. The highly experienced crew specializes in different types of techniques: light tackle, bottom fishing, jigging, heavy tackle, trolling, and was a repeated participant.
The adventure starts aboard the 27’ Jeanneau Merry Fisher motor yacht, fully rigged with the best fishing tackle and electronics around. The boat is equipped with the battle station, outriggers, Shimano reels from 50 lbs to 130 lbs for trolling, Daiwa and Shimano electronic reels for jigging and bottom fishing. As well as the GPS system and fishfinder give the higher chances for success to get the biggest catch.
Their BZU motor yacht was built in 2010 and was equipped exactly for ocean fishing in 2014. Powered by a Nanni Diesel 200 HP engine, this vessel saves your time getting out to the best spots for fishing with a speed of 22 knots.
There is all the equipment offered for the catch of your dreams in the boat, you can expect the species like Wahoo, Tuna, Marlin, Barracuda, Grouper, Amberjack, and many others. The crew of the yacht gladly will proceed with the cleaning and the filleting the fresh fish to take away with you and share the best recipes for each. As an extra option, they can make plans and prepare your catch by one of the best restaurants in the marina.

Half day Mixed Fishing Trip Pm
A great experience!
We had a wonderful afternoon with Captain Alex and his wife Lucy. As absolute beginners without experience, the two have explained and shown us everything with a lot of patience and passion. We also learned a lot about Madeira and the local conditions. When fishing we caught a large number of Red Snappers and also two trigger fish, puffer fish etc. On the return trip to the harbor we could still observe a large number of dolphins, which have pulled their way directly in front of and under the boat. All in all a perfect afternoon. 100% recommendation, we will definitely come back if we are in Madeira again. Thank you both!

Perfect Day
Wir hatten heute ein fantastisches Erlebnis beim Big Game Fishing auf Madeira mit Alex und seiner Frau Lucy. Auch wenn wir leider keinen Fisch gefangen haben, war der Ausflug dennoch ein absolutes Highlight! Jeder Tag ist Angeln aber nicht jeder ist Fischtag. Die Organisation war hervorragend, und Alex und Lucy haben uns von Anfang an herzlich empfangen und gut betreut. Ihr Fachwissen und ihre Leidenschaft für das Angeln haben den Tag wirklich bereichert. Die Atmosphäre an Bord war entspannt und freundlich - wir haben uns beide sehr wohl gefühlt. Kleine Snacks die serviert wurden waren sehr lecker, dazu gab es eine Vielzahl von Getränken, die unseren Durst gelöscht haben und für gute Laune sorgten. Obwohl wir keinen Fisch gefangen haben, war die gesamte Erfahrung mehr als super, wir haben während der Fahrt sogar nochmal um 2h verlängert. Die atemberaubende Landschaft Madeiras und die Möglichkeit, den Ozean hautnah zu erleben, machen jeden Moment wertvoll. Während der Fahrt haben wir direkt neben dem Boot fliegende Fische gesehen, einfach unglaublich und einzigartig, weiter konnten wir auch noch Delphine beobachten. Wir können diesen Ausflug wärmstens empfehlen und freuen uns schon jetzt auf das nächste Mal - wir werden mit Sicherheit wieder teilnehmen! Ein großes Dankeschön an Alex und Lucy für ein unvergessliches Erlebnis! 🐟🌊✨

Un parfait moment en famille
Nous avons passé une très belle matinée avec Alex et sa copine. Ils étaient présents à notre arrivée et nous sommes partis à l’heure. Nous faisions cette journée surtout pour nos adolescents, qui adorent la pêche et ils n’ont pas été déçus. Alex prenait bien le temps de leur montrer ses équipements et les encourageait à participer. Bien que ce ne soit jamais garanti de pêcher quelque chose, nos deux hôtes ont redoublé d’effort pour mettre toutes les chances de notre côté! Depuis la réservation jusqu’à la journée de pêche, ils ont toujours répondus rapidement à nos questions. Je recommanderais sans hésiter et c’est certain que mes garçons voudront y retourner si on revient dans le coin.

Half day Mixed Fishing Trip Pm
Wonderful Experience!!!
My family and I will cherish this fishing trip for a long time. Lucy and Alex were so fun and happy to be with. They were so good to make sure our family was comfortable. We caught 30+ fish!! My kids (12, 9, and 6yrs old) were so addicted. :) The crew was so helpful to guide our kids in fishing and my husband and I relaxed with the procided drinks while we watched the beautiful scenery and all the catches. It was such a great experience to be able to catch our fish and take it to the restaurant as soon as we docked the boat. It was all set up by Alex and Lucy. They were so nice to teach us all about the different types of fish in the area and shared stories of their past catches! Such a fun and great day. We cannot thank them enougb!

6 Hour Mixed Fishing trip
FANTASTIC!!!!!
Even though we didn't catch many fish, it wasn't for the lack of trying. Captain Alex and mate Lucy made every effort using the fish finder equipment to locate the fish, but apparently the fish didn't get the notice that it was time to eat When we boarded the boat a tray of snacks, cookies, cakes, chips and a cooler of beer, wine, cola and water were waiting. Cap. Alex deployed the 6 trolling lines as soon as we cleared the marina. We trolled around for about an hour and decided to try some bottom fishing, but after about 45 minutes, the wind picked up.So, as we trolled to a more protected spot, Mate Lucy served us a wonderful lunch of ham and cheese finger sandwiches, salad and watermelon. We resumed bottom fishing. We did catch 2 large trigger fish, several small grouper, and a large fish that had to be released by law. As our 6 hour trip was coming to an end Captain Alex again deployed the trolling lines as we returned to the marina. The whole time aboard Capt Alex and Mate Lucy attended to our every need. My friends and cannot recommend this charter any lower then 5 ++ stars. Thanks Captain Alex and Mate Lucy.
