Albatros Charters - Cozumel Mexico
Albatros Charters are a boutique operation that caters and cares about the needs of every angler they have on board. Mexico never looked so enticing and welcoming than when fishing in the pristine waters of San Miguel de Cozumel.
'Albatros', your boat for the day, is a 42' Chris Craft with the capacity to accommodate 6 anglers that can cast their lines without bumping elbows. The vessel has twin 250 HP Caterpillar engines to cut through the waves seamlessly and bring you to the most plentiful fishing grounds around.
She is also fully rigged with excellent navigation gear to get you on the fish faster, a fighting chair to help you reel in that extra feisty catch, and a flybridge to take in the view while waiting for the fish to take the bait. You also have a private toilet on board, and even a small kitchen, should you need it.
When you arrive to the hottest fishing spots, test your luck and lines by fishing for Mahi Mahi, Barracuda, Kingfish, Wahoo, and prized Sailfish and Marlin. Different types of Tuna, as well as Goliath Grouper, are on the menu too, depending on the length of your trip and your preferences.
Heading out with the crew of the Albatros means you get the chance to fish, but also snorkel, as long as you ask the captain to prepare the equipment beforehand. Drinks like water, lemonade, and sodas are included in the price, as well as snacks and lunch on longer trips.
You don't have to worry about fishing gear either — rods, reels, and tackle are all a part of the trip package. You'll also have a first mate on board, and you can ask him anything fishing related, he will gladly be of service. If you're satisfied with his work, gratuity is much appreciated.
All you really need to do when you come aboard Albatros Charters is be ready to fish and have the best time — they'll take care of everything else!

We would definitely recommend this charter! The captain, first and second mate were amazing. Manuel and the 2nd mate made everything extremely easier for our group. We landed our first fish within 20 mins of the lines in the water, and were busy with fish on all day long.

Thank you Nate! We appreciate you taking the time to submit a review for us! We've seen some pictures from your day and are so very happy that we helped make great memories of your vacation.

the boat was very clean and the captain and his deck hand were amazing. they hard working to get us on the fish. We would differently fish with them again. Tails up ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you Shelly! We appreciate you taking the time to write up a review for us and sharing some of your pictures! We look forward to your return!
We started off our day on the Albatross with Captain Jack, Tony and Alexandro. The weather very questionable. A lot of storms and lightning around, but they persevered. Fishing was slow for much of the trip, but they worked tirelessly to try to put us on fish. The weather may have affected our luck. The afternoon snack they prepared was excellent with guacamole, ceviche, quesadillas and fresh fruit. We also selected to do some snorkeling during our trip and they took us to a fantastic location. The place they took us to go eat lunch was also beautiful with plenty of stingray swimming around us. Finally on the way back to the resort they did not give up on trolling the entire way back. By the end we did catch fish, including rainbow runner, barracuda and wahoo. You'll be pressed to find a better first-mate than Tony. We would book them again in a heartbeat.
The captain and first mate were great. Even though we didn't catch any fish, they worked very hard and we had a few bites. The problem was we booked the 42 foot boat as advertised on Fishing Booker. We were provided an excuse of maintenance, which obviously was a double booking issue. even though we were promised, an identical boat we Had a 30 foot boat which was not equivalent to what we had booked. It mattered with rough seas. Specifically spent more money for a larger boat for this issue. Smaller boats were $150 cheaper do not book with this charter. also, all the boat switcheroo communication took place outside the Fishing Booker charter app. Go figure.

Fishing' may be called that instead of 'Catching' for a reason, but on this day 'Catching' would have been more appropriate! This Aug 31st was a perfect half-day morning fishing charter for me, my son Kevin, son-in-law Justin and nephew AJ. Rita was more than accommodating with the start time based on our disembarking time from our Royal Caribbean cruise ship. Albatros Captain Oscar and first mate Jimmy (Jaime) were wonderful. They were prompt at the pier at 9:00am and everything was as promised with plenty of food and drink available. All of the bait was pre-rigged and ready before we boarded. We were fishing minutes after boarding. Within 30 minutes we hit a school of mahi and had four on rods at the same time! A while later we brought in two more all about the same size of about 22' - 28' long. Then the big bull hit and kept us all busy for over 30 minutes taking turns wearing each of us out. He was over 48' long and a bruiser! On the way iback to the dock we caught two more of the smaller females to make it a total of 8 (2 each) plus the one big bull! We ended the trip with a lunch at the nearby Sand Dollar cafe consisting of two of the mahi mahi's which Jimmy filleted for us on board. Thank you for a fantastic trip and the wonderful memories we will each have forever.

That is an excellent half day out! Wow! Thank you so much for trusting Albatros Charters to take you and your family out during your coveted time in the Cozumel Port! We love the pictures and look forward to seeing you on a return visit! Tell all your friends!
