Caught ~30 fish this morning with Captain Ricky ranging from Peacocks, to Knifefish, to massive Largemouths, with Catfish, Gar, Snakehead and Cichlids sprinkled in.  Captain Ricky is kind, patient and a local expert, having fished these channels for decades.  This is our second trip in the last two months and a guaranteed hit with all of my out of town guests and locals alike. 

The entire process is low touch, from booking to launching (boat ramp 2 minutes from I-95/Forest Hill exit), to catching massive exotics as Captain Ricky provides an all-inclusive angling experience (bait and tackle provided).

Ricky took my father-in-law and me out a couple of days ago and we had a blast!  We caught (at least) 8 great fish in a 2 hours including a nice peacock bass on our first cast!  My father-in-law caught his first fish ever and then proceeded to catch a 28 inch ~5 pound large mouth for his second fish - unheard of!  I’d highly recommended Ricky as a fishing guide to anyone that wants to get out for some classic Florida fishing and have a great time!

My stepson (13yrs) and I booked a last minute 4hr trip to kill some time before our flight back north.  Next time it will be a planned trip.  Capt. Ricky put us on the fish right away and within 45 minutes we landed Peacock bass, Large mouth bass and a Clown Knife fish kicker.  He was very patient with us and explained his proven techniques thoroughly.  His knowledge of the waters was impressive.  I highly recommend his guide service.

Let me start off by saying when he says “Exotic Roundup” he delivers!

I came from the Pacific Northwest specifically to target Peacock Bass, but didn’t expect to cross off a variety of species from my list.

Within 2 casts I landed a Peacock Bass! Within the hour Ricardo got me on 4 different species!

Ricardo got me on so many Peacock Bass it was ridiculously fun!

I mentioned to him how awsome it would be to land a Clown Knife Fish. He was more than eager to make it happen. Well… being the great guide he is, He got me on 2!!

It was a fun day out! I’ll be back for sure to catch that Snakehead!!!

Captain Ricky of FLlargemouth Charters put us on some beautiful Peacock Bass down here in West Palm Beach. I came down here from Illinois for vacation and hoping to hook into some nice Peacock Bass and Captain Ricky DID NOT disappoint. My wife crushed it and put the first monster female in the boat and I landed a unicorn of a male at the end of the day. We even landed two at the same time for a great photo. 10 fish in 2 hrs and we couldn’t be happier, 6 for me and 4 for my wife. My wife said she couldn’t help but smile the entire time.
Captain Ricky was an amazing captain and made this trip spectacular for us. The Captain was super friendly, helped out with my wife when she needed, and was attentive the entire time. Great conversation, which can be difficult sometimes, but there was a natural flow, and this made the trip even better. We will be back for sure! Next trip we hope to bring the whole family and some of our younger ones.
