Five Reasons Sportfishing welcomes you to Manzanillo in Colima, Mexico! Spend a day on the water full of fun and excitement as you search for many prized species together with Captain Michel. The captain is a cordial angler who’ll take you both inshore and offshore and make sure you have a great fishing experience. Come aboard and have fun fishing!

Your trip starts on a 28’ Mako offshore sport fishing boat, a comfy vessel that runs on two 225 HP Yamaha engines and can sit up to 6 guests. It uses GPS and radio systems for efficient navigation, has got a toilet and beds, and features a multimedia system and ice-box. The extensive onboard fishing gear includes a fighting chair, snorkeling equipment, outriggers, tuna tubes, and a livewell. A first mate will also be present to give you any help you may need.

Some of the various prized species you’ll have the chance to catch include Jack Crevalle, Mahi Mahi, Black Marlin, Roosterfish, Skipjack Tuna, and Spanish Mackerel. To attract them, you’ll be bottom fishing, trolling, and jigging, all using heavy tackle. Kids are more than welcome to join the trip and you’re free to take home the fish you catch. Just bear in mind that smoking isn’t allowed while on board.

Captain covers you for all the fishing gear, bait, catch cleaning, and even snacks and drinks. Just bring your licenses before you depart and you’ll be set to go.

Manzanillo Fishing Bay on February 24, 2026 • 3 adults

Joel was an amazing captain and got us on fish right away. The boat was clean and safe. The weather in Manzanillo is spectacular! Highly recommend Five Reasons for your next trip. We did the bay trip today but want to do a longer one next year for sure.

Caught my first billfish !

Ramon and mate Joel were really great. Caught a sailfish at the death but would have been a great trip regardless. Captain and mate were very professional, courteous and worked extremely hard to finally get that fish. Would recommend highly if you visit Manzanillo.

FULL DAY

Big Game Fishing Trip Full Day on April 27, 2025

It was a great day, full of action with this fast boat and the best crew. I couldn't ask for more. Lots of tuna fishing and, to top it off, a big blue marlin on board. One of my best fishing trips with my son and great friends.

Totally recommended, great fishing experience.

10 Hour Trip on January 3, 2021

I have made several trips along with Captain Michel and I always end up with full thrill for those great fishing days; starting from the captain's punctuality, his professionalism and good attitude. And it is worth mentioning that the boat is so beautiful, and it is always in impeccable conditions. Captain Michel is very friendly and he is an expert sailor, he explained me everything in detail so that I could enjoy fishing at its best. Michel knows very well the fishing zones, we have caught blue marlins, striped marlins, and sailfishes. We were able to enjoy our fresh fishes at the boat, since Captain Michel is not only a great fisherman, but also a good cook. Besides to what we have caught, we have seen dolphins, turtles and flying fishes, which complements the trip and makes it very entertaining.
