Precision Backcountry Charters 

Myself, my husband, and my adult son all took a charter for 2 hours with Mike. It was a wonderful experience and we had a great time! First of all, although we were initially slated to arrive on time, because of last-minute traffic in the area, we ended up being late. Mike was very cool and understanding about that. He immediately got us out into the water where we started catching fish. He took care of everything we needed, baiting the hooks, casting, and giving tips to help us fish on our own. He would relocate the boat if it seemed like an area was going cold. It was obvious his main goal was to get us to pull some fish in the boat! He also was very interesting to talk to, and interacted with us the whole time. Honestly, I could not have asked for a better day for the few hours that we had out on the water. I wish it could’ve been longer! We had a wonderful time, caught plenty of fish, and thoroughly enjoyed our time on the boat! Highly highly recommend Mike, he is fantastic!

Mike is an exceptional guide! He communicated early to make sure we found him and got aboard the boat. He took us right to where the fish were! My wife and I lost count of how many we reeled in! Mike made sure our hooks always had bait on them and helped us with removing the hooks when we made a catch. We caught several species and even caught a black tip shark! My wife caught two mackerels that were keeper size! Mike fileted them on the boat for us and put them on ice so we could take them in to town and have them cooked up! It was a great experience and we would definitely do it again and recommend Mike to our friends!

we tried to make this trip a couple years ago but unfortunately didnt work out because of weather and Capt Mike didnt want my son’s first trip to be ruined with wind. finally had a chance to redo today and it did not dissapoint. Capt Mike was fantastic, got us on fish as soon as we got out and helped make this an incredible first trip for my 8 yo. would highly recommend and will be rebooking when back in town.

Great day. weather a little iffy but turned out awesome. Capt Mike kept on top of the fish all day. Snook and Trout Even caught back to back Monster Trout in one area. Flounder Jack Ladyfish. my nephew hooked a tarpon for a brief moment. Saw some dolphins rays and a couple of bonnet heads. We would do it all over again. Captain mike is super knowledgeable and friendly and keeps em coming.

Captain Mike made this a great experience for our 12 year old. He caught some of the biggest fish he has ever caught in one area. Then we moved to another area and my boy and husband caught so many fish that we ate it for dinner. Captain Mike cleaned all that fish for us. I would recommend Captain Mike to others he is knowledgeable and patient. Thank you for a great afternoon Captain Mike!

We had an awesome day on the water with Captain Mike! Caught over 30 fish throughout the trip and even hit the inshore slam redfish, trout, and snook, plus plenty more including Spanish mackerel, jack, and grouper. Captain Mike was super knowledgeable, knew exactly where to go, and kept us on the fish all day long. He made the entire experience fun and seamless. We’ll absolutely be booking again any time we’re in town. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch inshore charter!

I cannot say enough good things about our trip. We were catching nice fish all day, kids had a blast, boat was very nice and Mike is a great guy. I was ready to go back out the second we finished and i cannot wait to return. If your on the fence or unsure of going, book with precision backcountry and you wolnt regret it.

We caught Snook, Red Fish, Flounder, Trout and a couple Catfish! Was an overcast and kind of windy day, but the Captain knew just where to find some action! Will definitely be calling Michael again when we are back!! Thanks for a great time!

Spent 6 hours on the water with Captain Mike. Ended up pulling in tons of redfish and trout. Also got on some snook and even got a flounder, too. Overall, a great experience that I would recommend!

Captain Michael (Mike) Ikemeier turned a fairly windy day into a good fishing day. Mike texted or called regularly days leading up to & on charter day. Picked us up on schedule. Friendly & informative throughout the afternoon. Redfish, trout, grunt. Mike put us on sheepshead but us two landlubbers let ‘em off. I’ll definitely book again with Cap’n Mike.
