Reel Lucky Fishing Charters is truly jack-of-all-trades in the charter business. Whether you're interested in inshore, nearshore, or offshore fishing trips, they have the equipment to match the task.

The Reel Lucky Too is a fully custom-built 2019 25' Texas-style C Hawk. Equipped with a bimini top for shade and enclosed head/toilet. This boat is able to creep across shallow flats with its wireless trolling engine or charge it offshore comfortably and quickly with a 250 HP Suzuki engine. As well as do everything in between. It is the perfect boat to sample the different fisheries the Florida Gulf Coast offers.

If the weather changes last minute this boat can adapt and convert to an optimal inshore charter without having to cancel and ruin your trip.

Inshore trips include fishing for Snook, Redfish, Trout, Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, Cobia, and Sharks. This fishing is done on the flats and along mangrove lines where it's easy to tuck out of the wind if necessary providing a comfortable fishing experience for those who may have a tendency to get sea-sick.

Nearshore trips take you to wrecks and reefs less than 9 miles from shore where the fish are bigger. The species you can encounter on these trips are nearly limitless. This is basically an offshore experience for half the cost. On wrecks, you can simultaneously fish light, mid and heavy tackle for a myriad of species while fishing a handline for the epic 300 lb+ Goliath Grouper Tug-o-War!

All trips include fishing licenses, top-end Shimano, G. Loomis, and custom-built rods, live and dead bait, music, ice, cold and dry storage, photos, videos, fish cleaning, and beach/snorkeling if you desire.

Customize your adventure with Captain Joseph DePhillips So he can tailor the perfect experience for your group. Book your adventure with Reel Lucky Fishing Charters!

Great accommodation
4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) on March 26, 20245 adults

We booked with Reel Lucky after our depends trip was cancelled last minute due to weather. Only having one day that we had set aside for fishing on spring break, Capt Joe and His mate Chris were able to accommodate us on a near shore/ in shore trip. Conditions were far from ideal with wind gusts that made things difficult but we were still able to get on some fish and ended the day catching some sharks. Chris did a great job keeping 5 lines baited. We had a great time and I look forward to fishing with them again.

Reported catch:
Snook
King Mackerel (Kingfish)

Terrible weather but still a great trip!
4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) on January 2, 20232 adults

The original trip we booked with another Charter got canceled because of weather so, at 10:00 the night before we were supposed to go out we were scrambling to try to find somebody that would take us despite the fact that it was going to be raining. Captain Joe had a charter already booked in the morning but he offered to take us out in the afternoon and do his best despite the weather forecast. He let us know up front that we may have to turn around and it might not work out but we really appreciated the effort. Not only did we not have to turn around we had a great time and caught lots of fish. Yes it was a bit cold and rainy but despite that they he and Chris stayed out the full time and made sure that we were able catch plenty of fish. We weren't able to go as far out as we would have liked to because of the weather so a lot of them were small but we did get plenty of Keepers too. We are already planning a trip back when the weather is better!

Captain Joseph's father was a founding member and officer of B.A.S.S., so the captain grew up fishing. He's spent decades working as a commercial fisherman, starting as a deckhand and eventually working his way up to a captain of commercial Grouper bandit boats, Stone Crab boats, and net boats.
