Had a great trip with our guide. He constantly put us on fish. If the fish stopped biting, we would move to where the fish were. We caught our limit each day and were extremely satisfied. We have had bad guides before. This guide was hardworking and a master of his craft. He also cleaned all the fish. On a side note I would say he was the toughest guide we have had because when we went with him the temperature was freezing and he barely had time to protect his hands while taking our fish off and baiting our hooks. He didn’t complain about this and had only jokes and a good time for us.

When we got to the dock Captain Ed was ready and smiling. Maybe a 15 minute run and we were getting lines in the water and it didn’t take five minutes after we stoped to get the first nice fish in the boat. Ed has every trick covered, splasher, thumper and real-time sonar to see what was under us. There is no doubt he had started the morning early with the size of the shad he was putting on our hooks. When he thought the action was getting slow we moved on. If he thought the fish too small we moved on. We were at the dock at 7:00 am and had limited out by 9:30 and that included 4 fish over 20 inches, the limit, and 16 fish that were nice filet size. Wonderful day with a captain that worked hard to make our trip pleasant and to be remembered for years to come.

I took my father fishing with Ed and it was fantastic! Ed was so extremely thorough and friendly. He provided clear directions to the marina and he provided everything we would need, including rods and bait. The boat was very nice and comfortable. He knew exactly where to go to catch the biggest Stripers! By the end of the trip it felt like we were old pals. When we got back he got the fish all ready for us to take home for a big fish fry. I cannot recommend Ed enough. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and fun. 10/10 recommend and we will definitely be coming back to fish with Ed!
