The 2023 Federal Red Snapper season has been announced and it runs June 1 - August 25th this year. We will book fast, so pick your date while you can! Red Snapper trips are designed to give you plenty of time to limit out on Snapper before going after other awesome species of fish, so hop aboard Captain Todd Thomasson’s freshly renovated boat and make lovely memories on the water!
You’ll be aboard a much larger fish catching machine this year! Welcome aboard our 43’ Hatteras sport fishing vessel. The boat’s fully rigged with modern navigation electronics that will keep you safe and on the right track all the time. The Miss Lib features all the comforts of home. She is fully air-conditioned, including the bridge. She has 2 staterooms, a full bathroom and shower, a full-size refrigerator, and a full kitchen. A spacious salon to relax in or watch TV, bring the kids’ favorite DVD if they get bored heading out or back in! There will also be a first mate to assist you during the trip.
Traveling usually 20 to 60 miles off the shore, you’ll have the chance to target Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Cobia, and even Blacktip Shark. You’ll catch them by bottom and deep sea fishing, trolling, jigging, and drift fishing, using both heavy and light tackle. Kids are welcome to come aboard but the captain highly suggests they be at least 6 years old. As for the fish you catch, you’re free to keep everything with you.
Captain Todd provides you with all the rods, reels, tackle, and bait. You should just bring fishing licenses and the snacks and drinks of your choice.

10 Hour Trip – Offshore Adventure
10 hour with captain Zach
Went out on two 10 hour trips with Zach and wasn’t disappointed. Started off trolling and snatched a few mahi and ended up hanging into a fish of a lifetime. That blue marlin wore me out and I loved every minute of it. Finished up with our limit of snapper. Second day while trolling we had a white marlin come in and take the bait just didn’t hang up. Caught amberjack and our limit of snapper. This is the only charter I use when coming down to port a. I’ve been on 5-6 trips and every time Zach makes sure we have a blast. He is the best! We’ve caught our biggest snapper with Zach and he goes out of his way to put us on good fish. I can’t recommend him enough. We can’t wait to get back down there and catch some more.

This boat and crew are exceptionally professional! I have fished offshore on all sides of the continent and this was one of my most positive and memorable trips. Captain and crew took the time to explain and teach us why we were fishing the way we were and kept the trip fun and exciting from the moment we left the dock. Air conditioned cabin on the boat kept us comfortable as it got hot mid day and into the afternoon. TV in the cabin to watch movies on the way out and way back. Excellent fish cleaning services provided for the catch! Couldn’t have asked for a better trip.

8 Hour Trip- Snapper season
Great trip with Capt. Zach and Willis
What a great trip! 8hr Red Snapper Trip. This was our once a year work fishing trip. Zach and Willis met us early on the dock and welcomed us aboard. They had everything ready to go and off we went. It was a bit rough on the way out but by the time we got out there it started calming down. Time to get the rods in the water. We trolled in the morning and caught a few barracuda then on the way to the snapper grounds we hooked into a Wahoo!!! In the afternoon Zach knew exactly where to put us to limit out on Red Snapper! The afternoon was calm for an enjoyable ride back to the dock. If you want a personal touch to your trip book with Port Aransas Offshore Adventures. Zach & Willis will treat you right!

10 hour Trip With Captain Todd, Captain Zach and Deck Specialist Willis
Joined The Crew on the Miss Lib for a day of Gulf Fishing. The fishing was spectacular as Captain Zach knew exactly where to take us. Began the day trolling. Once the first four rods were rigged and the bait in the water, all four rods immediately folded over. Three had Barracuda and one had a 40lb 8oz Dorado (Mahi Mahi)! We then moved to the Snapper grounds and caught our limit quickly. Just for fun, Zach and Willis rigged for King Mackerel and Shark. We caught one of each with the Sand Bar Shark's estimated weight being 250 - 300lbs! We had a great day thanks to Port Aransas Offshore Adventures. If you are looking for a great trip, don't hesitate or go anywhere else, Port Aransas Offshore Adventures is the BOMB!

Fantastic Experience!
What better gift for an outdoorsman than a fishing trip. My son just graduated from high school, and he loves fishing. So, we got on fishingbooker.com and found Port Aransas Offshore Adventures. We made a great choice, because Captain Zach and First-mate Willis we’re definitely first rate. Their boat, tackle, knowledge and curtesy were fantastic. We got right on red snapper and began reeling them in. We limited out quickly and hauled many other game fish. My son landed a monster red of 35.5” and weighing 19.5lbs. He was ecstatic! Score!
