Reel Down Outfitters welcomes you aboard! Come to Hastings, Michigan and have a memorable fishing trip on the beautiful Thornapple River. Right by your side will be a seasoned captain who loves sharing his passion and knowledge with his guests. Regardless of your age or level, he invites you to join him on the water and create some wonderful fishing memories!

Your adventure starts on a 17’ Hyde High Side drift boat that can accommodate up to 3 anglers. Once you reach the Thornapple River, you’ll be in for a treat as river grounds offer a variety of prized species you can fish. There are Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Crappie, Yellow Perch, as well as Sunfish. You and the captain will target them using spinning, fly fishing, and drift fishing, all on light tackle. Feel free to bring any kids you want on your trip, the captain will gladly show them the nuts and bolts of fishing and they may easily fall in love with the water.

The captain will take care of all the fishing gear you’ll need for the trip. This includes all the rods, reels, terminal tackle, fly fishing gear, as well as live bait and lures, so you should just bring valid fishing licenses and your favorite food and drinks. Also, keep in mind that due to the local regulations all the fish you catch will have to be released back to the water.
