Sportfishing Maestro
Sportfishing Maestro has been fishing the Pacific waters of Costa Rica for over 20 years for many prized fish species. Come to Puerto Jiménez in Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica, and join Captain Oscar Villalobos in exploring the area’s inshore, nearshore, as well as offshore waters. The captain will make sure you have lots of excitement and will help you make a respectable catch, so pick a day and go fish with Sportfishing Maestro!
Your trip will start on a recently restored 27’ Rambo center console that can sit up to 4 guests. It runs on a 300 HP Suzuki engine, uses full-featured navigation electronics, and is equipped with outriggers, downriggers, tuna tubes, and a livewell. There’s a multimedia system you can use as well as an ice-box, and there will also be a first mate on board to give you any help you need.
The species you can chase include Blue Marlin, Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Sailfish, and Amberjack. To attract them, you’ll be bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, popping, as well as fly and drift fishing. Children are more than welcome to join the trip.
Captain Oscar will take care of all the fishing gear, live bait, lures, snacks, drinks, and fishing licenses, and he’ll even clean and fillet your catch for free. The only thing you’ll need is your own fly fishing gear, if you choose to fish that way.
Come visit Sportfishing Maestro and have an exciting and memorable fishing trip in Puerto Jiménez!
