He has been guiding fishing trips for decades and has lots of knowledge to share. This charter is federally permitted to fish in federal waters aka past 9 miles for the big fish of a lifetime
This 35’ Marlago vessel by Jefferson Yachts was based on the original 33’ Cigarette wide body by legendary Don Aranow with a pad hull and step transom added. She’ll get you offshore fast, comfortable, and with style. The boat has Garmin and Simrad electronics, including satellite radio, satellite weather, 14 speaker stereo system with 860 watt 5 channel amplify, Bluetooth, fish mapping, radar autopilot, etc.
There’s enough room for 6 guests to start this adventure. To make the experience more comfortable, the boat also features fresh water shower, saltwater washdown, huge swimming platform with a ladder for easy on and off.
June and July are all about Red Snapper and the beginning of Gag Grouper season. This is the most popular time of year for offshore fishing. After catching your limit of Red Snapper and some Grouper, you can move on to trolling for pelagic fish like Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, and even Sailfish. Or fish wrecks and offshore freshwater springs for fish like huge Amberjack, Goliath Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Yellow Tail Snapper, African Pompano, Barracuda, Sharks, Wahoo, and other exotic fish.

Captain Joe and John his 1st mate were a team I’d put up with the great ones… worked their butts off to make sure everyone was comfortable but also making sure everyone worked those reels. Crazy 3 Goliath grouper day doubled up at one point. And then after some snapper chased down for monster Reef Donkeys. 11 hrs of pure sport would recommend 15/10 times…

We flew down for one day to fish. The captain we had booked bailed on us for “bad weather”. Captain Joseph and his first mate John, agreed to take us and saved our weekend. The weather was beautiful and the fish plentiful! Highly recommend this crew!! Went far and beyond to make sure we all had a great time and to put us on the fish! We will be back.

Captain and Mate were amazing. They took care of everything from start to finish. We caught a variety of fish. Yellow tail and mango snapper, red and Goliath grouper and tuna just to name a few. We caught over 60 easy!!

Captain Joseph's father was a founding member and officer of B.A.S.S., so the captain grew up fishing. He's spent decades working as a commercial fisherman, starting as a deckhand and eventually working his way up to a captain of commercial Grouper bandit boats, Stone Crab boats, and net boats.
