That’s why spending a day with Captain Roy from South Florida Fishing Adventures is always a good idea. He’s been fishing in the area his whole life and dealt with any type of fish you can find here.
A long list of fishing tournaments he has won is proof of his expertise, but it doesn’t end there – you can also rely on the testimonies of many people who caught their first fish with Capt. Roy. Now, it’s time for you to fall in love with this sport.
It all starts with a 20’ Stratos Extreme boat that accommodates up to 3 guests. This bass boat was restored in 2020 and features the latest navigational electronics. She’s also powered by a 200 HP Mercury engine and reaches speeds of 65 knots. There’s also a live bait tank and a cooler for your drinks.
Your fishing spots may vary, depending on the season and what you’re targeting. You’ll mainly go after Peacock Bass and Largemouth Bass using light tackle. If you’re planning to eat the fish, you can choose to keep your catch.
All fishing equipment is included in the price and the captain will also make sure the cooler is filled with water. Feel free to pack other snacks and beverages and don’t forget your fishing license. It’s recommended to have your sunglasses and hats with you, especially on hot summer days.

Fishing with Roy
Just got done fishing with captain Roy. I had a blast. Checked one off the bucket list. The bite wasn't crazy, but we had a peacock bass in the boat in 15 mins. Captain Roy pulled out all the stops to put me on fish. He's a very knowledgeable fisherman and we stayed out way later than the 4hrs (sorry Mrs. Roy). Dude even made me a sandwich and brought it with him. Book this trip. You will not be disappointed. Roy, thanks for the experience. I will be back!!

Half day fishing trip with Captain Roy
Captain Roy is the best!!! We had a half day trip fishing for peacock bass near Ft Lauderdale. Captain Roy reached out to us prior to the trip. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. He suggested 9-10 dozen of shiners as live bait. We ended up catching more than 50 fish (mostly peacock bass, and a few warmouth, Mayan cichlid, Oscar). This is the best charter fishing trip we had so far. Captain Roy even took us for sightseeing in everglades. We spotted many alligators, vultures, and egrets. The 4 hour half day fishing turned out to be a 5.5 hours trip with no additional charge. We will definitely fish with Captain Roy next time when we visit South Florida. Strongly recommend Captain Roy to everyone.

Capt. Roy is the man!
We booked a half day morning trip with Captain Roy and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our priority was to catch our first peacock bass and he put us on them with ease. Not only did we catch peacocks but a wide variety of species which was a major plus. Roy is extremely knowledgeable and great at teaching techniques. His boat is an awesome rig and he drives it like an absolute pro. The gear he provides is perfect for the targeted species and he can cater to all skill levels. He truly makes the entire experience about you and shares the excitement with every catch. We highly recommend booking a trip with Roy!
